Today I was going through some links in my email and I thought I would share a select few with those of you still willing to read my posts.
The first one comes from the birthplace of democracy.

It's clear that most people don't care about what happens in the world unless it happens to them.
The fellas in the video are on the opposing sides of whether or not the tax slaves of the united snakes should be using greek ports to cross ship weapons to kill slavs.
It wouldn't do any good to protest the united snakes in the area of the planet with the same name in common with them, so our greek comrades have done it for us.
Solidarity with those that resist tyranny.

It details the story of people in the area known as greece as they bear the burden of resisting rule by force with their bodies and lives.
Icymi, greece is a stronghold of ideas many in the the united snakes and europe are not even aware of let alone dedicated to seeing fulfilled.
But, just because most of us wouldn't fight our way out of a wet paper towel to be free of the bullies doesn't mean that that type of thinking has a monopoly on the minds of free people.
As the videos show, that is clearly not the reality.

For the life of me I just can't figure out why the people that invented democracy would be so willing to sacrifice their lives into a fight to be free from what most of the people in the world think of as democracy.
It's seems contradictory, no?

I would say that such is normal. If it's supposed to be the other way around, which by the way is very en vogue and politically correct, that people care about what doesn't concern them yet, you have a life in the subjunctive, as I see it.
If I re-formulate your sentence it could look like this:
people don't WORRY about what happens in the world unless it happens to them.
For me, that sounds reasonable.
I would even go further and say:
I shall not worry what "people" say or do or don't do. Of course, I would like my attitude to be picked up. For me, it would be fine if only the members of my family would not worry about themselves. But then, I look at me again and come to the conclusion there is some change of attitude ahead, how this me deals with life.
From the disinterest I perceive I conclude that what I publish myself cannot be seen as taking one side. It does not feed the pains and pleasures. On light days I laugh about it. On darker days it frustrates me.

It has nothing to do with you personally, nor your content.
The top 20 accounts take 50% of the rewards each day, in an ecosystem of nearly 16k users, and the downvote was an attempt to liberate some of the rewards so they could go to people other than those top 20.
Here is a link to a post about it.
The xaccounts allow trails to simplify this for non-coders.
More people should be following them, imo.

Everybody with less than 1000mv should be downvoting what they take, imo.
Following the x accounts makes that easy for non-coders.
