We try to treat others as equals, but that isn't how life plays usually plays out.
We get comfortable enough with each other, and the roles we play to make others happy, that we often forget that the people near us are people nonetheless.
We hold the door open for perfect strangers but we go out of our way to annoy the people closest to us.
At least, some of us do.
Or, did.
Take minute today to examine the habits you have fallen into, dear reader, it may make the day more enjoyable for you and those around you.
If you find that you are all positive, all the day long, then try expressing any dissatisfaction a little more, your world may improve for it.

I generally downvote when I find abuse or content that is not of value.
There is a big difference between your post and mine, you took a short time to write it I on the other hand took hours but my post has your downvote and yours doesn't have my downvote...at least write a reason unless you are a bot and then the argument changes...

I personally am in favor of the presence of downvote because otherwise Hive would not have defenses against scammers and spammers.
In my humble opinion xaccounts are not a solution.
Perhaps the motivation for which they were created may be right but it is not a solution that produces only positive effects but also negative effects especially on promoting Hive and onboarding new users.
For example, let's imagine that the xsplinterlands account achieves equal voting power as Splinterlands.
A user in the centralized world discovers Splinterlands, creates an account on Hive, and starts playing. He discovers Hive and its many utilities and later decides to write his first quality post about the game.
His post is manually voted on by the Splinterlands curators, the author of the post is happy that his effort has received a reward but soon after he gets a downvote of the same value that cancels his reward and he does not know the reason for his downvote and being new he is unable to understand why he was downvoted.
After questions and research he understands that if he writes a post on Splinterlands he will always be downvoted and will have no incentive to write more posts on Splinterlands let alone share his Splinterlands posts outside of Hive = less promotion for Splinterlands but also for Hive.
Is this a solution or is this a solution that creates other problems?
In my opinion, downvotes should be for the content of a post and abuse such as farming or plagiarism.
If 50% of the rewards go to the first 20 stakeholders this can be a problem but downvoting automatically without evaluating the content of a post or without evaluating possible negative effects could also be a problem...
Solutions that are too simple to implement to solve complex problems are often the ones that solve one problem but create more problems.
Obviously this is just my opinion
