My Way to become a Splinterlegend #716 /Skins

Do you remember the skins in Splinterlands ?
Yes ?
No ?

Actually, I've been around long enough to remember the skins very well.
Unfortunately, I haven't been around long enough to see the skins come out, but I started with the maps that currently have skins.

The skins are actually hidden in the store. They have their own tab. This is probably the least used tab in the entire game!
Why ? A click on the skins shows sobering results:

Each of these maps is from the ALPHA & BETA series. These can currently only be played in WILD for an extra charge.

In addition, it is already clear that not all skins have been sold out. And that's despite the small quantities and the really great artwork!

I hardly own any cards from these series myself, and yet I got carried away and bought a skin.

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of buying the skin before the card. Well, consequently I had to buy another card. FIRE BEETLE!

As you can easily see, the skin is a purely cosmetic adjustment.
The values of the map do not change and therefore nobody has an advantage through the skins. At the same time, the price really wasn't set too high. In the days when these cards were actively played everywhere, skins were a real eye-catcher!

In my opinion, these skins were a huge missed opportunity!
At least so far.
A changed look would have been an opportunity for the developers to revive old maps, modified if necessary. And it would have been an absolute opportunity to generate more revenue. And not just for old sets!

Why not give a 5% bonus on GLINT or SPS from games? If this boosts the economy in the game, it could be well worth it.
And it doesn't have to be just a series of skins. Depending on the popularity of some maps, a selection of 3-4 skins can be created very quickly.
All in consultation with the community. That would definitely contribute significantly to satisfaction. At least that's my opinion.
I would very much like to encourage the developers to take this step again and, for example, release 50 copies of a skin for MANTAROTH. I am sure that these skins will be bought. Such offers are gladly limited in time.
This system works really well for so many other games. Why not with Splinterlands too?

I mean, you could try it, the potential is undoubtedly huge!
