A Horrible Experience | Bad Spending Habit

Hello beautiful people of hive, how are you doing, hope we are having a wonderful day. I welcome you all to another episode of #hivenaijaweekly prompt, this is my entry for this week.

Poor financial and spending decisions can harm you just like every other forms of bad habit, these habit can be source of great frustration and depression. When it comes to poor financial and spending decisions the effects of it can be so painful.

Well, I wasn't used to poor financial decisions but There is a period, I cultivated into poor financial and spending habit which I regretted, even till now I still learned from it.

This bring about my short story on poor spending experience. It happened during my final years In the university days. It was around the first semester and during this period, there were a lot of ponzi schemes out there, around 2016. Those kind of investment that you'll be asked to invest some certain amount of money to collect a double amount of money such as #50,000 to get #200,000. However, I had absolutely no idea about it, Until our industrial training (I.T) period, which I had it in one pharmaceutical industry in Ogun State.

It happened one day, at the pharmaceutical industry, I wasn't the only person undergoing the I.T in this pharmaceutical industry, there where other people from different university and polytechnic. So on that faithful day, I meet some of my colleagues discussing about how they are going to became rich before graduating, I was so interested in the topic that I had to joined them, from there I was introduced to this ultimate cycler's. I was told series of things about the scheme, how it was launched in 2015, how different people have became rich through it and so on.

After learning about this ultimate cycler's, I fell in love with it and became very interested in it, that I started investing my little saving and some money coming from home. Altogether I invested about #300,000. When i calculated the income that I'm expecting, it was huge.

The moment I invested my money into this scheme, I became very happy and ready to catch out before our school fees closing days come's up, so that I can pay my school fees and be able to write my final year exams. I was even planning of travel out if possible and still invest more into it.

Few days after, my happiness became a nightmare, when everything started to crashed, this is how i lost all the money to ponzi scheme, I was so unhappy, painful, and my parent also lost trust in me for some years. I even drank Garri (cassava flakes) tired, even when our school fees deadline is around the corner i had no money to pay but God later used my sister to helped me, she gave me another money to paid.

Since that year have learned to save a lot and didn't take any chances again.

My advice to anyone reading this; Do not invest on any ponzi scheme.
