Hello everyone. My name is Ashiru. Welcome to AFRI-TUNES week 100. Wow, AFRI-TUNES is 100th this week. Congratulations to the AFRI-TUNES community and the team.

It's a great pleasure to be here again, to share with us beautiful African music. For this week I'll be doing a cover of a song titled- "Promise" by Adekunle Gold ft Simi.

As we all know, we are in the second month of the year. A month of the year that's dedicated to love. I thought of a song that would go with the month, so I came up with this song.

Although "Promise" by Adekunle Gold ft Simi was released about 5 years ago. The lyrics are what we needed not only this month but also in our relationship. This song talks about the importance of having someone that genuinely loves us by our side and placing our relationship on the foundation of love rather than on financial stability.

Nevertheless, I personally love this song because of this beautiful message behind the song. Couples really make us understand that true love is what we need to consider before going into marriage or relationship.
