Week 182: Thanksgiving Weekend | Heart Of Gratitude

Yesterday was Thanksgiving Sunday service, A special services organized to give thanks to God and communicate with God, with full of worships, song of praise and prayer, To show gratitude for His kindhearted care and divine intervention to men. In additional, it's marks of obedience because we are commanded to give thanks to. According to 1 Thessalonians 5: 16- 18 "rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

This is going to be my first Thanksgiving service in eastern part of Nigeria and also my first as a couple. For me not to miss the Thanksgiving Sunday, because this services mean so much to me I have a lot of reasons to be thankful to God. So I had to prepare myself ahead. On Saturday morning, my wife went to work, after my wife has went for work, I had to wash the clothes and do some other house chores alone.

As a newly wedded couple, We have no unique family tradition for this Thanksgiving service. All we wanted to do is to give thanks to God and come back home, eat and sleep. Firstly, we give all glory to God, for He deserves all praise because all our blessings come from Him. We're thankful for the gift of life, we're thankful for #hive.blog for coming our way, we're thankful for our relationship and the marriage.

Although we didn't celebrate the day like we ought to have do it, we wish to invite people around to celebrate with us, but hands are tight down but we spend the little time of the day in actual Thanking God. I hope to continue to celebrate Thanksgiving but I think it's also important for me to know that is good to be thankful throughout the year and not just on the thanksgiving Sunday service.
