Hello to any of my readers and "Dear (weekly) Diary" 😜

I've decided to enter some of my past interesting battles as part of my weekly dairy entries every week unless something really interesting happens that stands out. I guess this could be like a mini "Share Your Battle Challenge" of sorts.

That said, BTC has shot upwards again this week, with predictions of hitting the $50k mark by the end of the month. This coming immediately on the back of the past few days when it was all negative news about BTC losing steam, having seemingly lost a lot of ground after the ETFs went live. I guess that's crypto for you! It's definitely not for the faint of heart! 😱

A brief introduction before I start though...

Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) I've made it a point to blog about my weekly progress and experiences in Splinterlands/HIVE in my "weekly diary". Splinterlands & HIVE are what I'd consider to be my entry point into the World of Crypto, and I intend to use this as a means to look back on the path I've taken in the years ahead.⏳⏳⏳

This is now the 116th consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. I talk about what has gone on my personal Splinterlands playing experience, my weekly Guild Brawl Reports, and also any Splinterlands ingame news. 🎉🥳🎊

No week goes by in Splinterlands without some news event happening though. And here's my pick of some of the most interesting ones in my opinion. 📰📰📰

⚔️🛡️My Battle Showcase🛡️⚔️

Let me present a battle I fought recently in which I used the Goblin Psychic. My opponent used the DEATH splinter. At first glance, upon seeing a FULL GOLD FOIL team with higher levels than me, I thought I was doomed. What chance did I have against someone who clearly out levelled me completely? 😱

I would say that the Goblin Psychic was DEFINITELY the MVP of this match having single-handedly turned the tide of battle. It's TANK HEAL ability allowed it to keep my entire team alive against all the odds! 🏆🏆🏆

As you can see, my opponent used Cursed Windeku as his tank, which was a pretty good choice, being a tanky unit with 10 HEALTH and the THORNS ability. His DPS units complemented his summoner choice and were placed behind and well protected by his tanks.

The battle started out looking like it was already his game. An entire team of GOLD FOIL cards - What chance could I possibly have? 😱

However, the unexpected happened and my units took out the Cursed Windeku before the opponent could even get a hit off! Any damage taken was easily healed up by the Goblin Psychic as my Mycelic Slipspawn kept everyone safe by TAUNTING all attacks to itself.

One of the key points in this game was the fact that the Reverse Speed ruleset inadvertently made my vulnerable slow team blazingly fast. This allowed me to take out his units quickly before they had a chance to react.

That combined with the Goblin Psychic's TANK HEAL ability kept up my Mycelic Slipspawn long enough to finish off his tanks and negate the SNEAK DPS from his Silent Shavi!

This was truly an eye opener!

Slowly, but surely, the nonstop heals wore down the opponent's team and the battle was won comfortably, without a single casualty on my side! Even though I had a huge scare at the start at the sight of my opponent's team, with his high levels and all Gold Foils, the heals from the Goblin Psychic were what proved to be the edge I needed to eventually overpower my opponent. 💪🏻

💭🧐💭Ending Thoughts💭🧐💭

I definitely can appreciate the Goblin Psychic and it's strengths. This is one of those cards which are very strong if surrounded with the proper team. The role it brings to the battlefield will give a player the edge in squeezing out every tiny advantage to get the win. 👍🏻 It's abilities, in the right situation, can lead to an unbreakable tank which will keep the rest of your vulnerable army safe no matter the situation.
