Hello to any of my readers and "Dear (weekly) Diary" 😜

Today's weekly Social Media Challenge is back to the open ended theme of highlighting something remarkable within Splinterlands. I shall showcase one of my past battles to highlight how stacking the DEMORALIZE ability can lead to near INVINCIBILITY! But first, a quick look at what happened this week in the world of crypto.

BTC has more or less remained pretty stable this week. ETH on the other hand has seen a pretty big surge as speculators are predicting it will be the next crypto to have an ETF approved. HIVE saw a small bump in prices this week, up to $0.37+ at one point. However, it has since stabilised at $0.33. Let's all hope that this is a sign of better days to come! 😁

A brief introduction before I start though...

Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) I've made it a point to blog about my weekly progress and experiences in Splinterlands/HIVE in my "weekly diary". Splinterlands & HIVE are what I'd consider to be my entry point into the World of Crypto, and I intend to use this as a means to look back on the path I've taken in the years ahead.⏳⏳⏳

This is now the 118th consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. I talk about what has gone on my personal Splinterlands playing experience, my weekly Guild Brawl Reports, and also any Splinterlands ingame news. 🎉🥳🎊

No week goes by in Splinterlands without some news event happening though. And here's my pick of some of the most interesting ones in my opinion. 📰📰📰

This week's Social Media Challenge is all about sharing our remarkable Splinterlands moments. I'd have shared my daily and weekly activities in the past, BUT, usually, nothing really special really happens in my daily Splinterlands daily grind, so let's hope this is more interesting for reading?... let's get down to it! 🤣

Lots of players look at raw stats and find that an ability which only reduces PHYSICAL damage by just 1 is subpar. However, what they fail to account for is that these abilities can be stacked! Take a look at the following battle showcase to see how I stack the DEMORALIZE abilities, together with SHIELD, to result in a nigh invincible tank which barely gets scratched in a perfect battle with no casualties on my side! 😉

⚔️🛡️My Battle Showcase🛡️⚔️

Let me present a battle I fought recently in which I used the Disintegrator, Molten Ogre and Living Lava. My opponent used Tarsa with the FIRE splinter as his main pick, while I also used the FIRE splinter together with several the DEMORALIZE and SHIELD abilities. At first glance, it looked like it would be an even match, with our levels being similar. Even our attack types were similar as we both went for physical damage units. However, my opponent went for an offensive build while I decided to focus on defense. This would prove to be my opponent's undoing as you'll soon see. Victory or defeat would lie in the small details. 😱

I would say that the DEMORAILIZE abilities was DEFINITELY the MVP of this match having single-handedly turned the tide of battle. It's DEMAGE REDUCTION ability allowed it to keep my entire team alive against all the odds! 🏆🏆🏆

As you can see, my opponent used the Living Lava as his tank and Fineas Rage as his offtank. Both of which were VERY good choices, given how suitable they are as tanks. Likewise, that was the exact same Tank and Offtank I used too! 🤣😱 His Sand Worm and Tenyii Striker AND mine were also similarly lined up in the 3rd and 4th slots. This was getting to be uncannily identical. We clearly had the same strategy in mind with our picks so far. The last 2 cards were what would finally differentiate us. Where he used the Serpentine Spy and Fire Elemental, I used the Disintegrator and Molten Ogre.

The battle started out looking like it was already his game. His lineup looked like it was made to counter mine - What chance could I possibly have? 😱

However, the defensive power of my damage reduction stacking abilities soon showed their true power as my units shrugged off all the damage from his attacks.

One of the key points in this game was the fact that my dual DEMORALIZE ability debuff from Disintegrator and the Molten Ogre, together with the SHIELD ability from my Living Lava tank, rendered all of the opponent's physical attacks a complete non factor! He couldn't even damage any unit significantly enough to kill them! The battle ended with my team slowly whittling down his forces until I won with ZERO casualties!

This was truly an eye opener!

Slowly, but surely, the defensive superiority of DEMORALIZE wore down the opponent's team and the battle was won! Even though it looked like the battle looked even at the start, my superior team selection proved to be the edge I needed to eventually overpower my opponent. 💪🏻

💭🧐💭Ending Thoughts💭🧐💭

I definitely can appreciate the DEMORALIZE ability it's strengths. This is one of those abilities which are very strong if surrounded with the proper team. The role it brings to the battlefield will give a player the edge in squeezing out every tiny advantage to get the win. 👍🏻 It's abilities, in the right situation, can lead to an unbreakable tank which will keep the rest of your vulnerable army safe no matter the situation.
