WOO Costs More, But Is It Really More Expensive? My Thoughts on the 25,000 WOO Premium Track

A Big Hello to all WOO Fans! πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³ WOO!

When I first saw that the Premium Track for WOO Battle Pass Season 2 would cost 25,000 WOO tokens, I had to look at the number twice. Going from just 1,000 WOO during Season 1 to 25,000 WOO is certainly not a small increase. In fact, it is probably the single biggest talking point from the entire announcement.

Whenever a game increases the cost of something, the first reaction from most communities is usually concern. People naturally wonder whether the new price is justified and whether they are still getting enough value for their investment. I expect WOO's community will be no different. There will be discussions, debates and probably a wide range of opinions over the coming weeks.

However, after reading through the announcement carefully, I think it is important to look beyond the headline number. Instead of asking whether the price is higher, perhaps the better question is whether the value has also increased.

From my perspective, that is the real discussion worth having.

One thing I appreciated immediately was that WOO did not simply announce the new Premium price without explaining why it had changed. The developers openly acknowledged that Season 1 was intentionally priced much lower because it served as an introductory season. The goal was to test the Battle Pass system, observe how players interacted with it and gather meaningful feedback before deciding on its long term direction.

That actually makes perfect sense.

Season 1 was never meant to represent the permanent pricing model. It was a chance for everyone to experience the feature without much hesitation, while also giving the developers valuable information about how players progressed through the system.

According to the announcement, one message came through very clearly.

Players believed the Premium Track offered far more value than what it actually cost.

That is not the kind of feedback you hear very often in modern gaming.

Normally communities complain that rewards are too small or that battle passes feel poor value for money. Here, the feedback was almost the opposite. Players were saying that Premium was actually too cheap.

That feedback alone tells me Season 1 achieved exactly what it was supposed to do.

Instead of simply increasing the price for the sake of making more WOO tokens disappear from circulation, the developers explained several reasons behind the adjustment.

Some of the key reasons include:

  • Better reflecting the overall value of the reward pool.
  • Giving WOO tokens a stronger purpose within the game's economy.
  • Making the Premium Track feel like a meaningful seasonal commitment.
  • Protecting the long term health of the in game economy.
  • Responding directly to community feedback.

Reading through those points, I realised that this is about much more than simply charging players more.

It is about defining what the Battle Pass is supposed to represent.

If Premium only cost a tiny amount forever, then eventually it would begin to feel like another routine purchase that required almost no thought. By increasing the price, WOO is encouraging players to make an actual decision every season.

Do I plan to play enough this month?

Am I going to complete the Battle Pass?

Will I get enough enjoyment out of the Premium rewards?

Those questions are healthy for any progression system because they make each season feel like a fresh commitment rather than an automatic purchase.

Of course, paying 25,000 WOO sounds like a lot until you continue reading further into the announcement.

Players who complete the Premium Track can earn back 18,000 WOO tokens through rewards alone.

That immediately changes how I look at the overall value.

Instead of treating the Premium cost as something that simply disappears forever, it becomes part of a much bigger reward package.

Alongside those WOO tokens, Premium players can also earn:

  • 84 WOO Gym Bags.
  • 70 WOO Jobber Packs.
  • 500 WOOBucks.

Once those are combined with the rewards from the Free Track, a player who completes the entire Battle Pass receives:

  • 128 WOO Gym Bags.
  • 100 WOO Jobber Packs.
  • 18,500 WOO tokens.
  • 600 WOOBucks.

Looking at those numbers together gives a much clearer picture.

The Premium Track is not designed to provide a full refund of the purchase price. Instead, most of its value comes from the complete collection of rewards that players accumulate throughout the season.

Personally, I think that is a much healthier design.

If every Battle Pass simply refunded every token spent, then eventually everyone would buy it automatically without giving it much thought. By returning a large portion of the WOO while also providing exclusive rewards, WOO creates a system where players are investing in the overall experience rather than chasing a complete reimbursement.

Another point I found interesting is that Premium is clearly not being presented as something every player must own.

The announcement repeatedly emphasises that the Free Track still offers meaningful rewards.

That is important.

Free players are still able to earn Gym Bags.

They still receive Jobber Packs.

They still collect WOO tokens.

They still receive WOOBucks.

In other words, participating in Battle Pass Season 2 remains worthwhile regardless of whether someone purchases Premium.

I actually think that balance is one of the strongest aspects of the entire announcement.

Many games create enormous gaps between free players and paying players. WOO seems to be taking a more balanced approach. Premium certainly accelerates progression and offers much bigger rewards, but players who choose the Free Track are still rewarded for staying active throughout the season.

As someone who enjoys seeing healthy player communities, I like this philosophy because it encourages everyone to participate.

The Battle Pass should not divide the community into players who can progress and players who cannot.

Instead, Premium should simply reward players who are prepared to invest more heavily into that particular season.

That seems to be exactly what WOO is aiming for.

I also think the timing of this price adjustment is appropriate.

Imagine if WOO had waited another six or seven seasons before making this change.

Players would probably become accustomed to paying only 1,000 WOO forever, making any future increase feel much more painful.

By making the adjustment immediately after the introductory season, expectations are reset very early.

Season 1 becomes remembered as the launch promotion.

Season 2 becomes the beginning of the long term model.

That feels much cleaner from both a player perspective and an economic perspective.

At the end of the day, every player will decide for themselves whether Premium is worth purchasing.

Some players may prefer sticking with the Free Track.

Others may decide Premium offers excellent value.

There is no right or wrong answer because everyone approaches games differently.

What I appreciate most is that WOO has been transparent throughout the process. Instead of quietly changing the price and leaving players to guess why, the developers have explained their reasoning, shown how player feedback influenced the decision and demonstrated exactly what Premium players receive in return.

That openness builds confidence.

Whether or not every player agrees with the new price, everyone at least understands why the change happened.

For me, that is one of the biggest positives from this announcement.

Battle Pass Season 2 is not simply asking players to spend more WOO.

It is asking players to become more invested in the season itself.

Looking at everything together, I believe that is the bigger message behind the 25,000 WOO Premium Track. It represents a shift from testing a new feature to fully embracing it as one of the core pillars of Wrestling Organization Online. That is an exciting direction to see, and I cannot wait to see how players respond once the new season officially begins.

Well, that's it for today. We will continue again tomorrow! 😁 WOO! πŸŽ‰
