Meme Coin Summer Portfolio Week 12 | First Red Week

I managed to flip a switch after being someone who cared alot about fundamentals in crypto and started to get into Meme Coins with a small % of my overall portfolio trying to play this game and see how it goes. These are weekly update posts in what I believe could be a Meme Coin Summer...

It's crazy how long a week in the Meme Coin Space feels like as so many things happened. These last 7 days were mainly centered around Andrew Tate entering the space while it also was the first time in 12 weeks that my portfolio went down.

Andrew Tate Narrative

It's been quite crazy last week with Andrew Tate looking for some attention by entering the memecoin space. It kind of started with RNT which looked like the official token made by Andrew Tate with some crazy volume on it while the price was going up. I did get in when it was around 10M Market cap with the idea that if Mother has a 170M Valuation, this one could at least do as well. It continued believe that RNT could go way higher and took a somewhat bigger bet on it around 0.035$.

However, the way it always goes, once you up the stakes you start seeing all the things that can go wrong (luckily). I didn't quite get the TOPG and other tokens he pumped and there were these tweets that he wasn't liking people outside of his academy making money which made me have a second look seeing the RNT wasn't actually a coin created hy him officially and that he was going to create his own allowing those is his academy to front run everyone. That was pretty much the sign for me to go out with a profit still before it continued to totally collapse while another coin Daddy did insane multiples.

The way I now see this entire Andrew Tate thing is that he's just using crypto as a promotional way for his stupid academy. I guess it's all planned which coins he will 'buy and hold' and the entire Burn narrative are all coins with zero liquidity which he probably pumped himself first. I don't trust him and I don't believe I have an edge in this game so from here on out I'm just staying away from the coins he's involved in.

Trading Wallet

I pretty much competed my wallet where the idea is to hold and at times shift positions around and take some profit. However, the urge to gamble a bit more actively buying and selling is still there, so I started a separate trading wallet putting around 1000$ in it to see if I can actually multiply it by taking some risks. initially I got that into RNT but managed to opt out in time and I have now shifted it the DONKE which I still believe could go a lot higher again after the community takeover. The market Cap is now below 300k again which is the price I first bought my original stack. I don't anticipate it going as crazy but there is still a community around this coin and some marketing plans in the coming week. It should be a matter of time before the sellers are totally exhausted.

Week Winners & Losers

With Solana dropping around -13% it pretty much took all memecoins who trade against it with it so it was hard to win owning a portfolio of these coins. 20 out of 23 coins I owned went down while the 3 that went up all were on the Base Chain.

Brett perfectly touched and was rejected by the Resistance line but I only managed to pull the trigger on selling 1000 which on top I re-invested in Law Of Attraction which went down more. So in theory it is always easier to make the right moves compared to in practice. After experiencing something like PONKE where I got out in time but didn't get back in to see it explode I'm much more cautious on these coins where everything points toward them having a bright future.

Boden also continues to drop and totally lost the momentum, I did but 1000 more but this likely will be the last buy.

I did sell my positions in the old TOPG and GTOP which felt dead a couple weeks back but now pumped due to the Andrew Tate narrative. It also goes to show that there are just too many different coins of each narrative so playing 1 or 2 doesn't even guarantee a winner in case the narrative plays out. I also dumped Anon which overall I just took a minor loss on as I don't see it as alive anymore. I mainly liked the idea of it being the first coin of the co-founder of Pump.Fun but it doesn't look like anything is being done with it and the meme itself isn't that strong or original to begin with.

It did turn out to have come down a lot and I picked up a small bag when the price hit 0.001161$ putting it just above 1M marketcap. However, I don't really see it as a long term hold though so I might just sell or at least take some chips off the table in case there would be a pump. This is the only new coin I added this week and it did ok given the market circumstances.

New Week Watchlists!

There is only 1 chart I'm really watching which is DONKE as it currently remains my biggest moonshot gamble position that is holding the 0.00025$+ Floor and I honestly would be surprised to see it go much below or some of the holders to dump.

I do want to get my LOA position to at least 10k in the coming week possibly and I'm also tempted to get MANEKI to 100k in case it would come down more. TOOKER also is one of the dips that I'm watching along with HarryPotterObamaSonic10inu even though I would have to buy that on a centralized exchange.

So a pretty volatile week to the downside but it's all part of the game and right now it's easy to take given that my portfolio is close ti 14k while I put 7k-8k into it over the first 10 weeks. Everything very much could come down crashing way more or there might be a crazy pump in the coming week. Also just 1 coins doing really well could make a huge difference.

Conclusion

I'm still having plenty of fun with these Memecoins and I will see how it continues to evolve trying to get my overall portfolio Value closer to 20k . A week is an eternity in meme coin world so I'll be back in 7 days with the next update...
