Hive is more than a Canadian quarter

Even when Hive tests low prices, it's still worth pocket change to me.

The past few years have been chaotic, from fear uncertainty doubt and madness, to inflation and stagflation and shrinkflation and interest rates. Through it all we have this great web3.0 datalayer to weave together the world wide web in a much more intelligent way, and even at tough times has more value than the change in my pocket can buy when used intelligently.

1000 Hive is 260.943 CAD, and with the Loonie taking a plunge I should really take another look at Relative Values. I have a long term spreadsheet for tracking the changing values of Currencies relative to my own terms. Just give me a moment to update this, if I stay focused I can do it quickly.

ok I updated the spreadsheet fields and generated a chart with the results.

What this shows me is that Bitcoin is up, Eth is up, Gold is up, Silver is up. Copper is stable and the USD is still 3.95% more valuable than the Loonie. At various times it is better or worse to hold one or another of these currencies, but for most of us the price doesn't matter as much as accumulating these metals. I would like to buy more Silver coins, one of my hobbies. Even though Hive is down, its still a good time to buy some of that. Will BTC tumble for the rest of the year? Will it eliminate gains made by other coins like Eth or Hive? When will BTC reach another ATH? Will Gold and Silver outperform BTC in the short term, or the long term? Will BTC blow them all away in 2025? Or 2027?

Is Eth is the new Gold?

And BTC the new Real Estate?

Silver is still, thankfully, Money.

1 oz of Silver today is worth 0.000547 BTC on the blockchain. There is a time and a place for different kinds of currency, in America they use dollar bills. In Canada we have Loonies and toonies, and in Kenya they use Shillings. On the internet we use Bitcoin and other forms of cipher coins, secure encrypted p2p value transfers. The missing key of the internet, payments, has spawned the blockchain revolution and believe it or not, its everywhere running 24/7 365 days a year.

However I still believe that a Silver coin in the hand is worth a wheelbarrow of cash.

FYI, The silver value of a pre-1968 Canadian silver 25 Cents is currently $4.67 USD. I do have a bunch of these.
