I dont convert my HBD when hive is weak but I do convert and/or sell it when the interest rate drops. To me its not worth holding at 10%.

I like the conversion program. If the price of HBD is hanging out below $0.95; I will convert HBD to HIVE as I might make a profit on the converion. Conversely, if HBD is hanging out above $1.05; I will convert HIVE to HBD.

The conversion process is the mechanism that keeps HBD stable.

I've also played the game of buying HBD when I thought the price of HIVE was high and selling HBD when I thought the price of HIVE was low.

If done correctly; HBD can help stabilize HIVE.

Unfortunately we blew everything apart when we started paying interest on HBD and raised the haircut to 30%. When we did that we created a situation where HBD could destabilize HIVE.

We took a good idea and made the good idea bad.

People invested in HIVE should use conversions when the conversions correct the price of hive. They should stack HBD when they think the price of HIVE is high and sell when they think it is low.

The one and only problem was the stupid interest on HBD.
