Dad's crazy of walks and spaghetti / My Actifit Report Card: April 2 2025

A rollercoaster day, started off on the wrong foot - literally! After my shift, I decided to take a walk through the park. The goal? My wife's work, pick up the car. A borrowed car for a day full of logistical maneuvers, like a simulation of family life at the highest level of difficulty.

After picking up the car, a quick stop at home - throwing things in and sorting out the laundry, because, as you know, the washing machine knows no mercy, and the laundry basket is bursting at the seams. Before I could sit down, it was already time to go pick up Alex from school. The plan was to take my wife to the train, so there was no way I was going to take the bus to school - time is a luxury, and today every minute counted.

On the way back, the older one and I stopped at a store, because tomorrow was a trip, and he needed his wallet more than socks without holes (although we'll have to work on that too). Then we went to the allotment - to leave a few things prepared earlier. A small logistical operation with unloading, nothing major, but checked off the list.

After the allotment – a raid to pick up my wife and her colleague from work. They were both going to a three-day training and had to be taken to the train. Mission accomplished – we arrived 15 minutes before departure. Relax, no rush, maybe even a selfie on the platform worked.

After leaving my wife on her educational adventures, I returned home with Alex. But that wasn’t the end – I had to pick up Wiktor from kindergarten, who as usual greeted me with a smile bigger than his school bag.

After returning – a quick dinner. Spaghetti. A classic of the genre, the kids love it, and I can cook it with my eyes closed, stirring with one hand and fending off questions like “where’s mom?” or “what’s that sauce?” with the other. The spaghetti went down smoothly, almost like dinner, because the clock was no longer kind.

After eating, there was one more thing to sort out – a cake for Wiktor. His birthday was just around the corner, so I had to go and order something sweet that would make a WOW effect at first glance. In the end, I chose one that matched his favorite fairy tales – I won't reveal the details, because maybe he reads!

In the evening... nothing. And that was the beauty of it. After such a day, when everything was sorted out, the kids were happy, my wife was on the train, and I was finally in my slippers – you can only sigh: "Phew, a day like in a movie, but it all worked out."

And that's how this crazy day ended. On papers, on wheels, with a wallet, a cake and a bit of spaghetti. Dad in action – 100% commitment, 0% time for himself, but 1000% satisfaction.

POLSKI:

Wariacki dzień spacerach i spaghetti

Dzień jak z rollercoastera, zaczęty z buta – dosłownie! Po służbie, wybrałem spacer przez park. Cel?

Zostawiwszy żonę w podróży ku edukacyjnym przygodom, wróciłem z Alexem do domu.
