Old kids magazine & Actifit December 30 2022

This magazine called "Arici Pogonici" or "Little Hedgehog" was discontinued in 1980 or so, but I still remember some teachers were reading stories from it to kids in kindergarten or first year of school even 10 years later in 1989-1990. I wonder if @sorin.cristescu remembers anything about it. :)))

Well, it was Ceausescu's the dictator decision, the name got changed to something that translates to "The Young Eagles of the Fatherland", just to feed the kids with more bullcrap commie propaganda...

Wow....... I can see why they don't print it anymore!
I have learned in life if you say things enough after a while people start believing them....

Most people follow the crowd

You call it a crowd, I see it more as a herd of sheep! 😁

Hmmm, it looks like you might be older than me ? The cover you show is from 1958, I reckon you found it on the Internet ?

I was born in 1970 and the "Arici Pogonici" name was still very strong - heck, I still use that combination of words to this day in Romanian, because of the inner rime ... But to be honest by the time I would have been able to browse a children magazine (1975 - 1976) it must have disapeared already, because I have absolutely no recollection of it in printed, physical form.

I think it might have been discontinued after the historical "Plenary of the Communist Party" from 1973 which marked a turn for the (very) worse in the economic and social policy of the Ceausescu regime ...

Worse, I didn't even know there was an actual printed magazine by that name until today (I thought it was the name of a defunct radio or TV show from before my time) !

Yup, I found the image online this morning, that's what made me remember about the name, it wasn't this actual cover, in fact I don't even remember the exact cover, it's mostly the name.
In '89 I was a first grader, so not older than you! :) Wiki sais that Ceausescu spoke about changing the name and content of the magazine in 1977 and it was replaced in 1980 by "Șoimii Patriei".

Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, I definitely remember "Soimii Patriei" ! :-)
I must have seen some actual "Arici Pogonici" magazines then, but I can't remember them ... 🤔
