Oak Chop & Actifit October 4 2023

(Edited)
Oak wood put to good use. Instead of discarding or burning wood pieces that took so many years to grow, they can be put to good use with a bit of patience (and some talent). Truth be told, I would be reticent to use such pieces as chopping boards, but also hanging them on a wall is not my type of thing either. If you got one, let's say as a present, would you hang it on a wall or use it for chopping stuff?

They actually look like chopping boards, lol
But I would not like to use them as that because they are more beautiful than that

So much hard work, I couldn’t use one of these for chopping!😲
With the walls of our home being tongue and crew Sitka spruce, I think this would fit into our decor hanging in the wall 😊

That would depend on whether or not there is any type of finish such as varnish or poly. If it had that type of finish, I doubt I'd use it for food. On the other hand, other materials for cutting boards might be better since there's always the chance that food could remain in the cuts from a knife on the board. It might be a bacterial issue.

It could be used as a large 'tray' if you will, to house a centerpiece on a dinner table or things such as salt, pepper, napkins-that kind of stuff. And, of course, you could always hang it in the kitchen on the wall with some added flowers or some such!
😎👍
