On the 24th, there was a parade in town (and all over the country) celebrating the union of two smaller states which later (by adding a 3rd state - Transylvania) were to become the country of Romania. Apart from all the present troops (army, special forces, police, firefighters...), what caught my eye were the troops in uniforms common to that era (about 1860).

It's mostly a facade and an excuse for people to have a work-free day plus eat and drink more than on a normal day. :)
