When was the last time you've seen something like this? And I'm not talking about the crooked train lines which are very common, especially in my country, but I'm asking about the poles for the phone lines (I don't think they still carry any power lines, just some phone lines and internet/data fiber lines). 10-15 years ago, they were still common in my area, but I haven't seen that many recently. I was thinking they'd still exist only on older video/photo captures, but it looks like they're "alive and thriving", the photos are taken in a different county than mine.
The stop sign is great as well, see the fixing collar, we call that a Russian fixing collar, it's the cheapest, very commonly used and sometimes works better than a commercial collar (yeas the Russian fixing collar is just a piece of metal wire :))

I see these kind of poles almost all the time
We use them here but they are getting outdated and people are gradually changing them

Unfortunately, in the Pacific Northwest, they would rather make constant repairs to overhead powerlines, then replace them with underground. What you see is still common in my part of the country. No one is forward thinking at all Lol🙄
When we lived in Colorado, they had everything underground 😇

I guess its different from county to county, even from town to town, not only on your side, but here as well :)

So very true…….
I think up here they’re being cheap! It’s easier for them to repair overhead wires than to bury the wires !🙄

Well, I will have to say that we are very archaic here, lol! With all the trees that fall from fall to spring, you'd think the utility company would figure out the amount of money spent on crews to fix the downed power lines would more than pay for underground utilities, but no.......they just don't get it!

In Colorado, all of our utilities were underground and in the entire time we lived there, we had only 1 brown out. We never lost power!

Your town is advanced in comparison to our country! Take care my friend and enjoy the day!

My town is not advanced at all :)) They just don't use the old wooden poles, but still most electric infra is based on poles, except they use concrete poles now.

Wow-concrete would be tons heavier than wooden, and I think they weigh enough!😳
