Justice with an extra adjective is not worth pursuing...

avatar
(Edited)

"Social Justice", "Equal Justice", etc. None of those are worth pursuing as they don't actually have anything to do with justice. They have to do with people pushing their opinions in totalitarian and authoritarian fashions. Justice doesn't need an adjective. "Justice" is all that needs to be said.

EDIT:

As soon as the adjective is added the concept of "Justice" becomes biased and can no longer be Justice.

Well, I think the entire thing should be for "just us."

That is how it seems to be at the moment. And you and I likely are not part of the "US" crowd.

I used to be moved by rousing speeches that rallied the masses in the peoples' struggle until I realized that those advocating liberty were the ones the agitators were rallying the masses to struggle against.

Yep. They use nice emotionally good sounding things and just keep the momentum of the emotion going and they turn those that want to make a difference in the world into unaware pawns.

It is one of the reasons I say that there is no one I consider unquestionable/unchallengeable, and there is no topic I consider unquestionable/unchallengeable.

I also am very comfortable with the concept that I will often be wrong. It is a learning opportunity IF I pay attention and don't let cognitive dissonance be the primary pilot inside my head.

One of the strange paradoxes in life is that people who accept that they might be wrong tend to be right more often than the people who assume that they are right.

I think that is the first wine I've received here. Thanks.
