I'd say there are sill exceptions yet the criminals tend to do what they can to keep them from ever sneaking in, and once they are in they will destroy them by whatever means they can.
I am a voluntarist. I tend to think we have the means to make our society almost completely voluntary. We would still need a few laws but it would mainly only need to be protecting our property, and our rights. If you don't attack me, or my property then so be it.
Property is where the interesting things come up. Do we put a restriction on how much property a person can own? If so, how?
An anarchist might immediately say no.
Yet consider if a person managed to acquire all the property surrounding your property and you have no way to ever leave your property without crossing theirs.
What then?
Let's face it laws are tricky. I do think we could accomplish most things in the world with a very small set of laws. They could be so small that pretty much everyone could know what they are.
That is a threat to attorneys though as if they are that simple then there would be very little need for attorneys.
