Ugh. Quitting smoking is the worst. I'm trying to get through that myself. Did you do it cold turkey? That's about my only option now.

Switched to a vape. Sounds easy but it wasn't. Still adjusting. I did cold turkey a few years ago for an entire month plus a week but all it took was one really bad day to kill that for years. This seems alright. Takes the edge off, which for me is important. Don't really have a problem with nicotine but the cigarettes just don't do it for me anymore. The vape is temporary; that's the plan.

That's crazy. I switched to vape in attempts of getting away from cigarettes. It worked, but getting away from vaping now is quite a challenge. Next week is my attempt to go cold turkey from vape. I'll let you know how it goes for me. In fact, I'll even write an article dedicated to you about it. The week after I take my kids to Disneyland in California. I don't want to smoke anymore.

The only reason I had started so many years ago was because the only way I could get a break during work and breathe some fresh air was if I was going on a smoke break. I need to make sure I'm around longer in life for my family. This is a crappy habit.

I can relate to the 'fresh air' thing. Sometimes I think smokers get more fresh air than nonsmokers. Ruin that in a heartbeat though.

I did a good job warning my kids about smoking; both almost all grown up now, not smoking. You mentioned Disneyland and that triggered a memory. Wasn't Disney, just a midway city fair ride. The Spider. They didn't shut the door properly. Eldest daughter and I almost flew out but I grabbed the door contraption just in time; slammed that shit shut like a superhero. Memories...
