RE: The Daily Meme #325!
You are viewing a single comment's thread:
Now, in which way exactly the two of us can cooperate?
I feel it's not enough to upvote one another and be friendly. Which, of course, is nice and I like it to talk to you.
I've had a few attempts to work with some of the people I've met here, and I guess I'll have to be patient not to think that working together as an unknown two-person team is rather unattractive. What can you and I do together? For example, I've asked artists if they could imagine working on a joint publication, such as setting to music or illustrating a story of mine that I think is very strong among the many postings of mine. There are not very many gems that I find on my own blog, but I would like to make something more out of a few.
Collaboration, it's used gladly and a lot, but then when you really want to get to work, you find that virtual acquaintances have their pitfalls. You live in different time zones, appointments are difficult to make and really committing yourself is very slow. Doubts arise about whether you are really talented enough or even have enough knowledge to see a project through to the end.
I partly call myself an artist and would like to work with other artists, but I haven't found anyone on Hive who would seriously want to do that with me (only "un-seriously", which may also be my responsibility, too, I don't know).
Do you make the memes yourself?
Here's an old post of mine that I think you'd like.

What would you do with it if you turned it into a meme?
Yes, if it is not mine, I source it.
This is the problem we are confronting.

In order to change the world, we must first change ourselves.
This is what the people keep saying to me, now if I could just find the changes necessary to making me king, so I could tell everybody to go about their day as they see fit, that would be great.
So far, no luck.
I think the best thing I can do is to continue to point out to anybody that will listen that ruling others with violence is not ideal to building utopias.
It's been an uphill climb for the last 20+ years, but things are looking better.
At least the people are finally seeing that the old way is not working as well as advertised.
I was more referring to this sentence of yours
Who is this "we"? Cooperation for me also includes working together. Easiest is to start with two people, I think. From there, all kinds of things can happen. That's why I was asking you directly: "What can the two of us work on?"
As far as I am concerned I am not working against anybody here on hive. Just leave some comments here and there, which might be seen differently when it includes critizism.
As for the rest of what you said, I agree with it and with the video.
The we refers to all those that seek to improve things.
I'm not sure what we, specifically, you and me, could do to improve things.
I'm at an edge space, I don't really have my set up set up well enough to try to predict what I can do tomorrow, but I am open to suggestions.
hm ... I actually am not so focused on improving... (whatever that might be) but more on making a place for me an inspiring sphere to be. The improvement then becomes a byproduct.
For instance, people invent games and then find others who can program them and again someone who might be a good designer and artist etc. This forms of cooperation have the power to improve a space on the whole. It always starts with one person, then becoming a team etc.
I remember a woman back in the Steemit days who gathered a huge community around her, I think her name was surfer-marley or something. They did real stuff in the real world together. Just an example.
I have no such ambitions with a community. I work as a writer and sometimes I am crafting, doing arts and inventing games myself.
I have no idea what the two of us could do. This would require that you like my work. So I gave you an example of it, which I personally liked (the link above). If nothing triggers you, that's alright. We have had our good conversations and probably will have some more in the future.
:)
