Small step forward... my training diary entry from September 22 2026

(And here is another photo from last Saturday, when I was out hiking with friends. Here you can see one of the many waterfalls we kept seeing along the route.)
Hi Actifitters,
I hope you are all doing well. Just as with the reverse pull-ups the day before yesterday, I managed to make a little progress with the close-grip push-ups yesterday as well.
The next goal according to the training plan (72+):
| set 1 | set 2 | set 3 | set 4 | set 5 | break between sets |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 12 | 17 | 13 | 13 | max (min. 17) | 60 seconds |
My previous attempt (53):
| set 1 | set 2 | set 3 | set 4 | set 5 | break between sets |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 12 | 17 | 10 | 7 | 7 | 60 seconds |
Yesterdays attempt (54):
| set 1 | set 2 | set 3 | set 4 | set 5 | break between sets |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 12 | 17 | 11 | 8 | 6 | 60 seconds |
As you can see, I managed one extra push-up in both the third and fourth sets. However, I ran out of steam for the final set and managed one less repetition than last time. All in all, though, I’m glad I managed one more in total than I did previously.
I also did a Zwift session on the indoor bike and completed the new "Climb of the Week." The elevation gain was significantly lower this time, but I still tried to push myself reasonably hard. I felt a bit stronger yesterday, though. Here are the numbers:
Duration - 0:34:34
Distance - 15.99 km
Elevetaion gain - 267 m
Average speed - 27.7 km/h
Maximum speed - 75.4 km/h
Average power output - 208 watts
Maximum power output - 494 watts
Average heart rate - 145 bpm
Maximum heart rate - 173 bpm
Average cadence - 85
Maximum cadence - 107
Calories - 412
Mission 80 (Day 86 = 85.2 / Goal = 80.0 kg / Initial weight = 90.0 / Total loss = 4.8 kg)
And today, I can report weight loss once again. I weigh 400 grams less than I did yesterday. That leaves me just 700 grams away from my target minimum weight for "Mission 80."
Core stability training is on the agenda again today after a bit of a break. I’m also trying to squeeze in a cycling session. Unfortunately, I don’t have much time, as I have to head into the office unexpectedly.
