It's the community power that will bring everything together. I am not going anywhere, but eventually, strong things come out of persistence and dedication.

I have been on many chains that I gave up on, and during all that time, I have always been on Hive. So, it must mean something.

And I think I know why... It's this "community thing" aspect that never lets me go away... (plus all the tech stuff behind it that I enjoy playing with).

People add value when they just USE stuff... that value needs to be translated, yes, but eventually and because of how humans work in society, it becomes more diverse (and confusing, yes) but will auto-adapt due to showing these things publicly. And that's the part of the "initial social experiment" I always wanted to witness and be a part of.

Token value matters for some... for me, the experience of this is way more valuable, on top of how much I am valuing myself by just being on it. As everyone else...

Have people even considered that? How much more valuable everyone is becoming just by being recognised worldwide through a blockchain community that can verify this transparently over time.

I mean, it's just 🀯

Sorry went the extra mile here !LOL

On Hive we would need more people like you. Reading your comment reminded me of a post wrote by @harbiter a few days ago (it’s in italian, but online translator today are so good that you can easily give it a read, if you like!): he talks about how Hive is first and foremost a community, a place where people can connect, engage and grow together. If more people were to share this vision of yours (both of you), Hive would be a better place.

I get coming for the money, but everyone should understand that there's so much more than that... and I'm always happy when I get to (virtually) meet people who understand it and work to make it their standard.

We are multiplying... I am learning as I go too...

The major difficulty is to create a seamless experience for new users. There are too many things.

If we can teach others to create something within those lines, we will be going in the right direction.

We are lots of great people... we need to communicate more often! Get less into making profit and more into making momentum! As in terms of "marketing" at least I mean.

I am using X heavily, but I see some people here on YouTube who could be great influencers. I need to connect with those.

If you know any, let me know.

(Edited)

To ease the onboarding experience I read that they are changing how upvotes work, making that when you cast a vote it always has the same value, instead of diminuishing with each upvote and recharging with time. Hope they keep improving the experience with updates like that, making the experience on Hive more user friendly for non-tech savvy users.

If you know any, let me know.

None sadly: almost everyone I know on Hive only use Hive itself... myself included!

Thanks @arc7icwolf for bringing me into this conversation

@forykw I'm happy to find other Hiveans seeing Hive the same way I see it. And for the same reasons you said, I think it's such a shame that a token like Hive is so tied to other things like Bitcoin and such. Because we are so much more than just a coin to speculate on.

If only the big fishes here would reflect this feeling and not just play around for the money... πŸ™„
As much Hive is a wonderful human place, we're still talking about humans. And when humans have power, the results seem to always be the same. What a shame.
Money money money fucking money.
Fuck money. Fuck crypto. Fuck finance.
Rage against the economic matrix. Bring back humanity into the web. It's just so hard, uh?
