Hi everyone... I am back from @hivefest as you can see, and because I didn't want to spoil or delay ANY joy about the reading experience of my adventure through HiveFest I have decided to disclose the moments enjoyed on a set of deeper posts (estimating 3 will do) at forkyisere's account... but before you run away checking that out... give yourself a few more seconds and finish reading the next paragraph, then go if you wish (come back eventually 😉).

SO, I would like first to remind you all about the importance of #HPUD (as that causes a synchronised effect across many things, especially web2 socials, for example) and to request a "call for action" (once it releases) and have a look at this #Giveaway on X too... These kinds of initiatives are the main reason I have started this PowerUp motivation, hence me trying to gather some help for others when many have helped me too reach this place... 😎 Important ATX Updates 🧐

I had a little brainstorm (storms included) during the HiveFest, and in a great mood of showing why I keep around and never give up, decided to bring some long-term news that might empower some positive attitude under very "dark" crypto times.

You can read the new details on PowerUp Delegation Giveaway Rules! old post. They got updated yesterday (if you want to just check the differences, look at the "versions" on peakd/ecency option).

You can do this on ANY post of Hive, by the way. Transparency is key on this chain!

In summary, the main differences are:

  • I have added a section to simplify the latest and forthcoming changes to the giveaway, showing in fewer words what you should interpret from the new "Cap Modifiers". Part of these were implemented a couple of months ago, but I have revealed a new long-term one.
  • There is a NEW ATX NFT (41) minted... the ATX Golden Lava - To celebrate my experience into HiveFest 2025 (and the fricking 🥵 heat I have experienced there 😅) - I struggle a bit with above 25C 😰
  • The announcement also includes a new "Cap Modifier"! Far enough, in a year's time, to give everyone enough time to prepare... on the first PowerUp Giveaway of 2027 (NOT next year, the other year after, right? Just to make sure you paid attention), people will need to have equivalent ATX tokens STAKED if they want to keep the ability to win their eligible HP Delegation prize. So if you are an owner of lots of ATX NFTs that upgrade your delegation possibilities, keep/save some ATX until you have enough to continue being able to get these in 2027 and onwards.

Wait! 🤔 ATX has Staking enabled?

Yes, it was enabled a couple of months ago, but for now, there is no extra rewards you can get from it. So, if you want to stake tokens, the only thing you get from it is the extra protection of staking, in case your account gets compromised and you need to change keys in time to stop any potential unstaking forgery from the attacker.

One last info to the people that will receive NFTs for free in this event, because they were LEGENDARY PowerUp (HPUD) people...

...if you have more than 1 NFT to receive (there are 3 people with 2 NFTs each), in this version (ATX Golden Lava) released, you will get only one, to avoid others not having an opportunity to acquire one. I am planning on another NFT soon, so I thought this to be a much better decision (let me know if you don't agree)... There will be another one for a very special event/cause celebration (before the end of the year). So, if you keep LEGENDARY 💎 HPUDs, you will get this one too. 😎

🎲🎮🕹️ GAMES Games GAAAMMMESS!!

MAN... I am sucking at games at the moment... SO so SOOoooo dificult to keep up. And I can only compliment the people around this chain, still bringing games to a possible reality.

It's not easy to sustain development with these prices. I will keep supporting what I can, when I can... as usual. Apologies if, in the past, I had to shift things a bit. There is no strong reason for me to shift... It's not because I didn't like the game necessarily, but mostly because I just don't have enough time to follow, keep playing most of them.

The ones that know me know I keep around enough of my time to give a bit to everyone. Within the time I have, which is like everyone else, limited.

Main survivors (for now and does not mean I don't revisit other games I played)... on my daily routine... at the moment are:

  • Moon Pizza (Uni 2) - This kind of game gets me... easily and without any rewards necessarily!
  • dCrops - probably my biggest "active" OG game... right now (unsure of the state of dCity)
  • Golem Overlord (my team is all I am, they are the ones... so I will keep supporting them)
  • TerraCore (that oGame type of game... I can leverage blockchain and show some people some stuff) - long-term stuff is a thing for me...
  • CryptoShots (gave it a quick go yesterday and today was going to do it again on @mickvir hosted tournament, but I fell asleep (DAMN..). But either way, this game is looking the best resistance game 💪 out there with constant evolution - Gabe is that kind of a man! Haven't met him in real life yet and almost feel I have 🫡 - Keep that fricking metal awesomeness you are, mate.
  • RisingStar (VERY VERY occasionally) - but I haven't gone away... Another HIVE MATE I need to meet one day... Hopefully at next HiveFest!
  • others... but in very little to no time...

Actually, I usually never go away from any game on Hive, unless I have a very strong reason for it... Usually, all my stuff stays around. Which kind of can get lost if people decide to "turn off" their businesses. But that's the way I run/play with the stuff I do. 🤷‍♂️🙃

🍺 BEER time

I am going to confess (not a criticism, just my opinion/taste)... Tiger (Singapore/Heineken venture, and the most sold beer in Malaysia) is a great "kill the thirst" BEER, similar to SuperBock or Sagres in Portugal (and I would prefer Sagres actually to kill the thirst) BUT ANY of those...

Compared with NZ 🍺 BEERs?

Mann.... They are refreshing minnows, I would say... 😉
And I can vouch for that in a contest if needed. 🤤 (maybe one day when @hivefest is in New Zealand) LOL - probably in a dream... 🥹

Meanwhile, I have to talk with @detlev because I am thinking about something for the BEER token... I need to write it down today so I don't mess up with my brain, and not to give it all away here, I can tell it does not have to involve the ATX:BEER pool necessarily, but it will help in that regard too. Expect a call... maybe next weekend if you are around! I will reach out on Discord so we can find some time.

(Powerful ~6% Hazy IPA next to an incentive to get EXPORT BEER, that is similar to Tiger stuff)

Let's see if I can help. And please re-read the rules page if you haven't again. Cause I have changed a couple of things there.

In a nutshell, if you hold the PowerUp Shard you already get entitled 2x HP (so, 2k HP delegation, because the minimum is 1k HP). So starting there already gives you double. Then if you have other NFTs that also had more extra HP, the 2x card, will double those too.

In the page of the rules (top of the post in the "Click 👉HERE👈" part), you can see a table of the valid NFTs, and the links on the left side, where the 💵 symbol is, are links for the pages where you can acquire them.

If you need to acquire MEME tokens, I would recommend getting them via the pools, because they are usually cheaper that way. https://beeswap.dcity.io/pools?search=MEME

Most people don't even know for these many years... and probably it's my fault, because of lack of time sharing things and mainly focusing on helping others when I can.

On another view, it might have worked also on the positive side of things, by not being attacked by the ones not wanting to support, but just grab and go (even if I planned for those too).

I think this post kinda answered the question I asked in one of my replies to your previous post. 🤣 Still though, a physical holo sticker for a certain stakeholding of ATX tokens would be cool! I could see that fitting nicely on my carry on luggage.

One more query. Was there any "ATX token disbursement for owning ATX NFTs" last month? Or was that part of the powerup months (which didn't occur in october). 😅

Ups, sorry if I missed that. I have actually tried in the past to create some, but they were not up to my standard. I have been re-considering coming back to my online store, but these things are not fully automatic yet in NZ, and or need a much larger initial commitment, so I haven't got back to it.

But yep, that idea already crossed my mind a couple times.

No, I didn't do it, and announced that on the September giveaway. It was on purpose because I wanted to have full HP during HiveFest. Just to make use there is no confusion, the ATX tokens from holding ATX NFTs only get issued in giveaways too (as a motivation for participating), not automatically every month.

Ideality was for me to use the same "when I do giveaways" model on other occasions, and distribute ATX tokens via the ATX NFTs, but I don't think I have had time for that yet or have done one. But that was put into the thinking of the process.

I like the choice of the 2027 cap modifier because it will encourage people to hold ATX tokens, and I'm starting to stake while maintaining my share in the ATX:SWAP.HIVE pool.

Don't forget that if you want to participate in this giveaway, you have to both power up a minimum of 10 HIVE and mention the special ATX tag anywhere in the comments of this post. It does not matter anymore how many times as long you mention it once.

Hello, welcome and great that you're still with the contest. I don't understand some things, but please clarify, it's first.

So, if you want to stake tokens, the only thing you get from it is the extra protection of staking, in case your account gets compromised and you need to change keys in time to stop any potential unstaking forgery from the attacker.

I will explain.

Usually, when people have "liquid" HIVE on their wallets (or for that matter, any kind of tokens), and if for some reason their account keys get compromised, the attacker only needs to broadcast a transaction and the account being attacked loses all those tokens.

And because "Staked" tokens can't be "unstaked" instantaneously (on HIVE it takes 13 weeks, on ATX for example, takes 28 days), the attacker even if gains access to the keys, will not be able to steal your tokens. Even if the attacker starts the power down.

And because it takes time, gives you (the true account owner) time to change the keys via the recovery account (hence why is important to have a good recovery account of someone you know and trust).

After changing the keys, you can then gain control of your account and you can cancel the power downs the attacker might have started. Effectively not loosing anything.

This is the protection of "staking".

Note: Unfortunately liquidity pools are liquid tokens in a sense, so an attacker could gain access to all those funds. It would be nice if one could decide how to set liquidity into liquidity pools (and sort of have a version of things that are similar to staked tokens). This would be especially very important for large accounts.

You can go to https://peakd.com/@angeluxx/permissions and click on the RECOVERY ACCOUNT tab... in there you should be able to check and change your recovery account.

Once you change it, it takes 30 days to take effect (which is per si, another security feature, to prevent a compromised account to be able to change the recovery to another thing and then prevent you effectively to recover the account).

To change the recovery account you will need the OWNER private key. So make sure you use this on a computer that is considered safe and not compromised (aka, not in a kiosk or public computer, nor if you think your computer could be infected with some sort of virus or something of sorts).

Another way to check is using a block explorer (I enjoy this one):
https://explore.openhive.network/@angeluxx (scroll down a bit until you see properties on the left side, then expand it and you should see this)...

Currently you have ocd as your recovery account (most likely because you created the account via ocd). So you should be OK. I am not sure how quickly the ocd team is responding to requests of account recovery, but if one day you need to use it, don't wait, and tag people around, me included if you need, and tag acidyo for example which is the creator of that community. Even if from another trusted account because when these things happen, you usually can't use your own account, because the attacker has changed the keys.

Another thing that helps is being on the discord channel of that recovery account because there are probably more people around that could help you get attention and becomes a method of communication independent from the chain.

I think you should be a teacher.

Switching the HiveFest10 series to four parts makes it easier to follow, and that Part 2/4 li;nk cleaned up the flow nicely. The updated index helps newcomers stay on track, so your doing the right thing here :) I liked how the reADer can jump straight to 4/4 without getting lost, my brain likes bite sized chapters more than marathon scrolls.
