Weekly Trip to the Coin Store

This week I picked up another generic round inspired by the the Buffalo Nickel. The premium for the rounds today was $5.00 over spot. The premiums on Constitutional silver was $7 over spot which is the same as Foreign Sovereigns. I did not even bother looking at the Eagles.

The world is just gone plain crazy! I paid $3.75 per gallon for Regular and $4.44 for Premium to fill up the cars today.

NOTE TO SELF: Top the tank on a regular basis whether I need the gas or not!

Lets see what else happened this week?????? COVID is apparently over and we have moved onto capital control and WAR. Nice.

I had a weird experience at the bank this week. I went to make a withdraw for my weekly shopping and as is customary I handed my driver license to the teller. Normally, the teller looks at the license to verify IT'S ME and hands it back.

She informed me that the Bank had changed their procedures and she had to scan my license. And sure enough she scanned the codes on the back of my driver license.

Now being a good old rebel, I knew what this meant. The State of North Carolina has a record of my bank transaction registered at the DMV.

So the question you need to ask yourself is . . . how many days before capital controls come to the USA?

With the US imposing a Financial blockade on Russia, how long before Russian bonds go unpaid. More importantly, how many of these bonds are currently on the books of US banks in my case BUT this will be a problem for all Western Financial institutions.

If you have read this far, I wonder what the price of wheat will be this year? Perhaps I need to start stacking flour? Anyway a crazy world just got a little more crazy.
