I RISK MY WAYS TO SUCCESS: SOME PEOPLE WANT IT SAFE BUT RISK IS EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE

Everyone wants it safe; few people are willing to risk it. Life is about risking things, if you are not willing to risk you are not ready to win.
When I was a kid, I was afraid of taking risks because I knew that failure would hurt my body, soul and spirit. I was so afraid of taking risks which led me to avoid some important things. The first time I was taken to a competition, after I did not make it in the first round, the fear of failure took over my heart. That was when my mummy saw me and told me that, “Chris you have to embrace failure and cope with it, failure is part of life, more of it is coming.

‘I said mummy, why did you say that?’
“If you want to be successful in life, you need to take risks and when you fail, you stand up. Don’t ever give up when you fail. The moment you give up, that is when you fail but when you do not give up, even though you fail, you do not fail.
There was a man in this village, he was a wealthy politician; he did not get his money from politics. He was a wealthy man before he joined politics. He had passion for the development of his village and the country at large. On a long way, he was wrecked by politics because he contested for senate several times and failed. After several attempts, he did not have money again: he decided to borrow money and run for senate, that was when he was elected as senator in my state.
“He spent eight years as a senator because he was elected twice, we thought that he will give up on his political career; he contested for governor and he was elected as the governor of my state.
“Today, he is a god-father in the state, he had transformed his village into big town; he brought many companies that led to the development of the village; the village without higher institution is now with many higher institutions; the village without electricity is now one of the best towns with uninterrupted power supply; the village without good road is now have good roads and street lights.
“If this man gave up when he failed 4 times, this village would have still been in the dark: no development could have happened by now. This is the reason you don’t have to give up. Anyone can fail in life. I myself as your mother had risked many things and failed, yet I did not give up because my goals must be achieved”.
Since the day I got this motivation from my mother, I have risked my ways to success. There are several times I invested in a business and the whole thing crashed. This does not discourage me from doing other business or investing in other things. I just have to be careful and do a lot of research before investing the next time.
The motivation my mother gave really helped me up to this moment. There was a time in high school when my teacher called me that, and “I don’t feel you can do this competition again; you have failed 3 times. This is not Chris I knew again. I will find another person to represent you in this mathematics competition”.
I responded, sir, give me one last chance for this competition. The competition was about a month when I started studying mathematics for 6-8 hours every day. It was the first time I took first position in a competition. If not, the motivation I heard from my mother, I would have given up and told my teacher to look for someone else in the class.
9 months ago, I invested in forex trade and everything went down the drain; 5 months ago, I invested in another project and I lost everything. After serious research on the internet, 2 months ago, I invested in a forex trade again, and I got 3X of what I have lost this year. Assuming I gave up investing I would have lost for life.
Life itself is a risk, not all success is easy. There are times you need to risk before you can breakforth. I risk everything here, my work, and lifestyles.
Sometimes, I went out to search for bigger opportunities from my office; I got connections to businesses by risking my time in the office; I have met people who connected me to various businesses; I went as far as a day journey to attend business seminars; I left my office to attend interviews in other organizations.
If I fail in the process of risking things, I believe it is the moment to sit and strategize, think, and find the best methods to get it right. It is not the moment to give up or start crying and lamenting. This is what some people do instead of finding the cause of their failure and the best solutions.
Whatever you are competing for in life is a risk, be it position, appointment, business, investment and many more.
Risk it all and you get everything back
