THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN HIVE AND SPLINTERLANDS

Hello hivers and splinterlands lovers around the world, how are you doing today? I was brainstorming on what to write today; my mind began to think of the relationship between hive and splinterlands.
Please, when reading this post, don’t be so personal about it; they are just something that I thought by myself, and no one is an island of knowledge. It is my opinion, which simply means my opinion might be right or wrong.
In my own opinion, splinterlands is an Hive based built but has extensions in Eth chain and WAX. This is one of the major projects built on hive.

IS THERE A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HIVE AND SPLINTERLANDS?

Everything I said here is my opinion of which there are people here that have in- depth knowledge about hive and splinterlands.
Splinterlands is built on hive; and splinterlands is one major way people know hive. There was a day I saw an ads on my phone, when I clicked the ads, it was about ‘top ten #play2earn game in 2022’. I was very eager to read the post. When I opened the post, splinterlands was among the top three in the ads.
Possibly, splinterlands might or might not be among the top 10 play2earn games according to the author: One thing I observed was that millions of people have read the ads, and interested people would have searched internet to get more information about splinterlands game.
I am sure that many gamers have joined through such ads. I met a guy in discord, I asked him how he got into splinterlands; he said, “man! I saw a post about the game on a social media platform. I got information through the internet; I was very interested since it was only $10 that required to get a spellbook. I got the game, and I purchased the spellbook to give it a try. When I discovered that splinterlands is a top-notch game, I invested heavily on it.
“That was how I got to know about the hive blockchain which encompasses many things. I started trading some coins through hive-engine and blogging. I love the reward system of hive, it rears to see social media platforms that are rewarded like hive. Though there are many social media platforms that reward through blogging, I love the hive ecosystem rewarding system”.
One of the relationships I could deduce is that hive is a blockchain where splinterlands is built on, while splinterlands make hive known to the world that made many people to come to hive.

There was a time when dark crystal energy (DEC) was the coin earned in splinterlands, before changing DEC to fiat currency; I must first exchange DEC for hive in hive-engine before I would change it to fiat currency of my choice. Not now that you can trade SPS which is the current splinterlands governance token of the game directly with many crypto exchanges such as gate.io.
Even up till now, I used hive-engine to exchange my SPS to hive before using it to buy things online.
Every asset on splinterlands can be transferred to a hive-engine. What I am simply saying is that hive-engine is a place you can sell or purchase splinterlands assets. I purchased SPS, DEC, packs and also sold those items in the hive-engine.
There are packs you cannot get from splinterlands website directly; unless you purchase them through hive-engine such as beta, alpha, untamed, orb and dice.

You can transfer your SPS, voucher, license and packs such as chaos legion, gem runi to hive-engine for businesses.
For me, hive-engine is like a market where you can buy and sell any splinterlands asset. This is another relationship between hive and splinterlands.

The rise of splinterlands is also the rise of hive, the growth of splinterlands is also the growth of hive. Why do I say so? When investors and players are trooping into splinterlands; it is also a positive movement to hive. This is because both splinterlands and hive are intertwined in some areas.

Remember, you can do transactions of other cryptocurrencies in hive-engine such as bitcoin, binance coin (BNB) EOS, Ethereum and many more: It is not limited to only splinterlands assets.

THE BEAUTY OF HALFLING ALCHEMIST

While I was selecting the monsters for this battle, I made a mistake. I wanted to go for mushroom seer to reduce the magic attack of my opponent because I knew that my opponent would come up with an obsidian summoner because only earth summoners were given in this battle.
I knew my opponent would like to use obsidian because of a magic attack to all friendly monsters; halfling alchemist was the monster that saved me from horror defeat.

According to a rule of the battle, melee monsters may not be used in battles. It was crystal clear that ‘melee attack’ would not be used. Hence, there was a tendency that my opponent would have more magic monsters than other monsters in the battle.

MONSTERS ARRANGEMENT

MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN: It was a coincidence that my opponent and I used the same monster in the first position. I wasn’t surprised because mycelic slipspawn was a monster with a higher number of health. I knew something like this would come up. I was just worried about the magical attack of my opponent's monsters.

The moment I saw my opponent’s lineup, I doubted my victory; the reason was that the magic attack of his monsters superseded my monsters.

Toward the end of round two, both my mycelic slipspawn and my opponent were eliminated in the battle.

SPIRIT SHAMAN: shaman was the monster in the second position: it led the battle in the third round but the big assignment I selected shaman could not be performed on mycelic slipspawn. My plan was to stun the first mycelic slipspawn; it was eliminated in the third round.

WOOD NYMPH: The purpose of bringing wood nymph was to restore the portion of health to the monster in the first position. Wood nymph was among the three monsters that was not eliminated in the battle.

BARKING SPIDER: this was a monster with good attack: i would have used beatrix ironhand but the monster mana was too much for me, it would not accommodate any other monster. That was the reason I selected a barking spider to accommodate a halfling alchemist.

HALFLING ALCHEMIST: this battle showed the glory of halfling alchemists. He broke the magic attack of all opponent monsters; without this monster, there was no way I would win the battle.
