Each author has their on style and there is nothing wrong with a more serious tone when writing.
My advice would be to write what you would like to read and enjoy the process of writing (even though it can be really tiresome. On that note I'm aways amazed with the word count of your posts!)

Yeah I am doing that, but I have the habit of disregarding it when I am lost myself in writing lol
