The Path Ahead (Zapfic)

There was a new zapfic prompt released in the Freewriters community today, and the word to inspire our fiction is 'Way' which is pretty interesting, leaving plenty of... ways to write our story, and many directions for it to go.

"Way out," the reply from the hiker echoed off the cliffs.

"Easy to reach on foot?" Razak asked through - already - breathless lungs.

"Dressed like that?" The hiker wondered out loud. "I guess, but you won't get there any time soon."

Treacherous jagged peaks and winding paths were on the horizon.
