Splinterlands Weekly Giveaway #002

avatar

Greetings Splinterfolk!

The purpose of this series of posts is to start giving back to the Splinterlands Community by hosting a weekly giveaway.

In order to be eligible for this week's giveaway, all you need to do is comment on this post with an answer to the question below:

Question: What is your favourite snack?

You can only comment once and your comment counts as your entry for the week as long as your comment contains an answer to the question above. No other actions (liking, reblogging, etc) will increase your chances of winning, although they are appreciated.

Please make sure to include your Splinterlands Player Name if it is different to the one you are commenting under, otherwise, I will send the prize to the name of the hive account you commented with.

The reason the one and only requirement is comment with an answer to the question above is to prevent bot spam, ensure that the people entering actually bothered to read the rules, and to allow as many people to enter as possible.

Venari Knifer - Gold Foil

In my first giveaway post, I was giving away three cards but there were only two valid entries... So, I have 1 card leftover from last week which will just become the prize for this week.

While Splinterlands does have a referral program, it only benefits the referrer and not the referee. Therefore, it is up to us (the existing players) to create our own referral program to help new players enter into the game. I've outlined below how my custom referral program works:

  • Sign up for Splinterlands through my referral link here.
  • Once you buy the Summoner's Spellbook, I will receive 500 credits ($0.50) which I will use to buy DEC, cards, or both to help you start your Splinterlands journey.
  • All you need to do is comment below the IGN you used to sign up with. Once I have verified it, I will reach out to see what you would like to spend your $0.50 on and then send it over.

Woa! Thank you so much for the card!
Favorite snack... I would say Sesame Noodles. It's Chinese noodles with sesame sauce obviously, chili pepper and sauerkraut. The perfect mix of sweetness, hotness and acidity!

My favourite snack is pakoras.

Make a batter of chickpea flour, salt and water. I usually add a little turmeric, black pepper, cayenne and minced garlic, but that's optional.

Chop or slice vegetables like carrots, bell pepper, cauilflower, boiled potatoes, spring onion, mushrooms, asparagus, zucchini... into bite sized pieces. Dip the vegs in the batter and deep fry a few pieces at a time until golden and crispy. To use up even the last remains of batter I often chop up some red onion finely and mix it in - more onion than batter - then use a spoon to drop small lumps of the batter-onion mix into the oil.

Eat while hot, as they are or with a dipping sauce - for example a mix of soy sauce, mirin, vinegar, garlic and ginger.
