This the rainy season in South East of Asia. This season has risk of flood. The flood will soak everything in your house include rice. There are many cases of submerged rice that can not be saved because people do not understand how to dry the rice from water.

Submerged rice in water will stale if it is not saved within five to six hours. Then, the rice is not edible. It can be used for feeding poultries.

This is the simple technique how to save submerged rice in water you can try at the situation when you get the unexpected experience from rain water or flood.

I have tried this technique and it is sucesful to save 10 kilos of rice. It was raining hard. My neighbour called me because the roof of his house was leaked. All the rain water enter his house in the kitchen. His bag of rice was submerged by the rain water. I helped him fix the roof. Then, he gave to rice to me.

I thought and tried to use my logical thinking with physical and chemical theories. I got an idea. I should try dried frying the rice. Then I practiced it .

  • First , prepare a dry and clean frying pan.
heat with a stove with smal fire.
  • Second, put the submerged rice in the pan.
  • Stir fry until the rice dry.

Put the dried rice in a large pan or container to make it cold. You should stri fry very often to make the rice get dried evenly.
After you finish, you repeat until all submerged rice in water get dried.

Note; You should dried fry before 5 hours.

Thanks for reading, I hope this will help you to save soaked and wet rice.

This is a saver for sure! Btw after frying the rice since the water content is somehow gone is it still safe to store it as a regular rice or there is a certain timeline that it needs to be consumed?
