From Wattpad Story to Webtoon Anime

Do you remember the Wattpad story I posted the other day?
I thought about turning it into a webtoon series as well. I figured it would be nice to have two styles of storytelling.

It's a bit difficult, but I think I can do it.

The Chosen and the Canceled

So today, what I did was brainstorm what characters I’ll use, and I spent the whole day doing trial and error with AI-generated images.

To be honest, generating images with AI isn’t easy if you have something specific you want to see in the result.

There’s quite a bit of trial and error involved, and that’s where image generator AIs make their money.

But since I’m only on a free trial for now, it’s more challenging because I have limited tries on the image generators that produce good results.

So what I did was try using NightCafe first. You can earn credits there, and it only consumes a small number of credits per image generated.

After that, I refined the images using ChatGPT and generated different character angles.
You might wonder why I need different angles when I'm using an AI image generator.

Well, image generators like ChatGPT work better when you provide them with clear references of what you're trying to achieve.

Here are the characters I chose to use in my webtoon:
Theo – the male lead

Sharm – the female lead (based on my wife's hairstyle

Gift – Sharm’s child (based on my daughter's hairstyle

Malcon – Theo’s friend

Jane – Theo’s ex

These are just some of the characters I selected, and I also generated some random characters that I can use as extras.

I also tried generating a scene using them as reference images, and the result turned out well.

I hope people on Hive who are into this kind of stuff — stories, webtoons, and other graphics-related content — will notice me. I haven’t really found an active community here on Hive focused on this, even though I think it’s a good topic.
