Welcome to my new entry for the Splinterlands Fan Art Challenge.

My entry for this week features one of my favorite units with Sneak and Snipe, Bloodlust, and Double Strike abilities.

None other than Katrelba Gobson.

Katrelba Gobson is a Common Earth unit from the Gladius Edition, which you can only get if you're lucky enough to obtain her from a Gladius pack that can only be purchased if you are part of a Splinterlands Guild.

Art Steps

First, I drew a rough sketch of how I wanted to render Katrelba Gobson: a female goblin holding a knife, with long orange hair in a ponytail, and wearing goggles.

I gradually refined it until I was satisfied with the outline I created.

Next, I added base colors under the Outline Layer, coloring it based on Katrelba Gobson’s appearance in Splinterlands lore.

After indicating the colors, I duplicated the folder to avoid ruining it in case of mistakes. On the new layers, I added shading—dark and light tones for each color.

Once I finished the shading, I needed to blend it, so I duplicated the shaded color layers again and blended them using the blur and smudge tools on the duplicate layers.

With the drawing completed, my artwork wasn't finished yet.

The next step was saving the files with transparency, one file with just the character drawing, one with fog at the bottom, and one with a black background.

I uploaded these to CapCut, where I added effects to animate them.

The animation I created was simple—I added a moving fog effect in the background and made the goggles’ lenses glow.

Finally, I completed my art entry, and I hope you like it.
