Splinterlands Art Contest Week 314! Blackmoor Wild Elf

Welcome to another Splinterlands Art Contest Entry, where I’ll be sharing something that’s not really my talent but has become a hobby of mine... drawing. Hahaha!

So this week, I decided to draw Blackmoor Wild Elf.

She’s an Earth Element Common Soulbound Reward Card from the Rebellion Edition. I got her from the Glint Shop, and I was lucky enough to get a Gold Foil Card.

I always use her because I like her skill, attack power, and abilities.

She has 2 Magic Attack power and abilities like Camouflage and Amplify.

So come along as I share the story of how I drew this character.

First, I sketched an outline of the pose I wanted. I thought of drawing her sitting, so I drew a sitting female figure. After sketching the body frame, I slowly added the character’s features to make her resemble Blackmoor.

After outlining, I started coloring by applying the base color first to avoid confusion when shading later on.

Once the base color was done, I moved on to shading. I used a charcoal brush for shading, layering it from dark to light, depending on the amount of shading, and overlaid it on the base shade. I found the hair a bit challenging since I had to do many strokes to make it look braided.

The very last part was the background. For the background, I used a plain black background, then decided to add some green strokes using a rough brush.

Here’s my finished artwork. With a bit more practice, my drawing will look even better. Hahaha!
