Been a while since we had an update and we have had some interesting events happen since then so lets get to it!

Holding Requirements Increase

As hinted at last update, we have meet with the LOLZ Governors and have decided to raise the LOLZ Holding requirements once again. However, we have decided to hold the lowest level required to give an LOLZ token at just 16 LOLZ. All other levels will be doubled.

In addition, we have decided to keep the LOLZ holding requirements for dividends at 512 LOLZ. As time goes on we may need to reconsider the dividend threshold as well, perhaps going to top 100 top holders threshold as the number of people who exceed the 512 threshold increases.

The holding requirements increase will happen on June 1. At which point, the requirements will be:

LOLZ Defi Update

LOLZ Defi continues to chug along smoothly, growing nicely over the last month. The following tables shows the growth in voting power for each of the tribes we are curating in.

We had a couple of tribes see tremendous growth including BEE at 780% growth, and THGAMING with 241% growth. But we also had some impressive growth in several tribes with many tribes over 100% growth. Only one tribe saw a decrease in voting power - ONEUP - as we must have lost some delegations.

Over the last month we have added Hive Power delegation to our LOLZ farming options and are offering a 10% APR. The additional HP has eliminated our RC concerns as the bot has more than enough RCs to distribute the jokes and LOLZ at our current rate of usage.

We will also be adding a few new tokens to LOLZ Defi soon including PGM, LEO, and SME.

At the same time we will be dropping VIBES as that tribe is no longer paying out earnings as we have mentioned before. If you are currently delegating VIBES to @lolz.vibes, please undelegate them as soon as possible.

Addition of German Jokes

We are excited to announce that @lolzbot can tell jokes in German now. Working with the folks behind HiQ Magazine the LOLZ Project is beginning to build a German Joke database to compliment the English joke database. Their aren't that many jokes in the database yet, but if you would like to get your jokes in German you can use the commands !Witz or !lool (capitalization doesn't matter).

We are also starting to work to build a Spanish Joke database too, and have already added the new command !jajaja although it still just sends English jokes. However we expect to have some Spanish jokes added to the database soon.

MEME:LOLZ Liquidity Pool

The owner of Hiveme.me has created a liquidity pool for MEME and LOLZ.

Now you can earn MEME and other rewards by providing liquidity to the pool. The pool includes a lottery where one winner wins 500 MEME every hour in addition rewards to all providers daily.

Meme Bot 2000

As a way to say thank you to @holovision for setting up the MEME:LOLZ Pool as well as for his general support of the LOLZ Project, @captaincryptic worked to create a new fun bot to share Memes and $MEMEs - Meme Bot 2000.

@meme.bot is free for all to use up to 10 times per day by using the command !meme or !MEME. While @meme.bot doesn't distribute tokens, he does provide random upvotes that can give you a little HIVE and MEME.

Now you can double the fun by giving your friends the "!LOLZ !MEME" combo. Or give them a wall of laughter with the triple threat "!gif !LOLZ !MEME" combo.

They won't know what hit them.

LOLZ Bot NFT Winner

In our last update we included a giveaway of a unique and coveted LOLZ Bot NFT.

Using our patented random winner picker (looks kind of like a hat) we came up with the lucky winner @steven-patrick! Unfortunately, Hiveme.me seems to be down at the moment so I can't send you your NFT. I will keep an eye out for its return and will send the NFT as soon as I can.

We made a little bit of progress on our To-Do List, but have started adding some items too.
