A tour round my friend's garden: Jan. 15 2024

Do you have or own a garden? if yes the answer, keep it up because what I saw and hear from my friend who owns a garden have motivated me to expand my garden so as to benefit more.

It was during afternoon hours that I decided to visit my beloved friend because ever since she travelled and come back from holiday, I haven't set my eyes on her. Therefore, as she called me that she's back to the city, I went to her house to pay a cool visit to her.

As I reach her house, the first thing that caught my fancy is Affang (Ukazi) leaf. It's edible vegetable that gives or helps boost iron to the body.

She have a big garden where she grows Ukazi leaf and to her advantage, Ukazi leaf must appear in all ceremonies be it child dedication, burial, wedding, anniversary etc. So, whatever party or occasion one is hosting, they must cook Ukazi soup. According to her, she do realize mire than one million naira from it per year. That's impressive, isn't it?

Next, I met her inside her pepper farm as she's weeding off weeds. Surprisingly, her crops are still alive and thriving despite dry season. According to her, she do sustain them with water. Meaning that she do spray water on them twice daily (morning and night).

Some of her pepper seeds are ready for harvesting and base on her sayings, she will do so any moment from now.

She also took me round her farmland and below are some of the things I saw...

After touring round her farm, I said to myself, Marajah, you're not doing anything at all because, if I should compare my farm to hers, am just a newbie. 😂

At the end of the tour, I had good conversation with my friend and we greatly enjoyed ourselves. Did you know that my friend actually valued my presence to the extent she left her work and postponed it to evening just to have deep conversation with me.

When I was about to leave, she cut and brought these pumpkin leaves for me. Tomorrow, I will cook it.

Ahh, I so much appreciate my friend. She's a friend like none. @caleb-marvel and @chichieze, hope none of you guys is jealous? Hahaha 🤣🤣🤣
