Sundays: A Dedicated Day For Corporate Fellowship

A beautiful day as Sunday is one out of the many days we have in a week for corporate fellowship within the Christian family. And ofcourse, we know that God even commanded it to be so as he had rested on the 7th day, though some Christians would want to observe corporate fellowship on Saturdays based on their calculation of the week, it doesn't really matter as long as the intention is right.

Personally, Sunday seem to be my best day of the week, not because it's weekend but because I will get to fellowship with my brethren in fulfilment of God's commandments in the bible "do not forsake the fellowship of the saints" as well as"remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy", these two commandments always ring a bell to me.

Today being Sunday, I wokeup quite early, prepared and went to church, the service was awesome and believe me, I was blessed. It wasn't blessed because my pastor can preach, I was blessed because I never forsake the fellowship of the saints. Let me take you on a brief and summarized sermon of today.

We know dedication to be an act of committing oneself to a task but in this context, we are talking about committing ourselves, time and even resources towards kingdom advancement. There are so many ways we can commit to the service of our eternal king and they are;

• Dedicating ourselves to fasting and prayers for church and humanity advancement.

• Helping the needy

• Being a committed member in a church.

• Having A personal relationship with the master.

• Preaching the good works of Christ to others.

If we get to do all these, God who never withheld His only son from dying for our sins will stop at nothing from blessing us. From today try as much as you can to make sure you are not found wanting in your services to God. Happy Sunday!
