CDC Plays The World’s Smallest Violin For Itself 🎻

Breaking news: About 600 CDC employees yes, the ones handling health stats, injury prevention, congressional outreach, and HR just got laid off in the Trump administration’s latest “oops, we fired a bunch of people” move.

Boohoo. Are we really supposed to clutch our pearls over this?

These are the same folks who told us to lock down our lives, mask up, get vaccinated, and basically bow to the altar of “trust the science” — even when the science changed more often than a TikTok trend.

Remember early in the pandemic when the CDC kept flip-flopping on masks and virus transmission? Yeah… reliability was not their strong suit. And because of all that mixed messaging, delays, and political interference, public trust in the CDC has cratered. Polls don’t lie: confidence tanked, and rightly so.

Oh, and let’s not forget their little hobby of mission creep from communicable diseases to equity programs and environmental health stretching themselves so thin they forgot how to actually stop diseases. Genius.

So no, I’m not lighting a candle for these folks. Actions have consequences. You betray public trust, confuse millions, and overextend your mission don’t be shocked when reality comes knocking and job security isn’t part of the package.
