CNN’s Latest Oops: Narrative Speedrun Edition

Have you ever wondered why CNN reports the news like they’re speedrunning a narrative on “easy mode”?
Because THIS week, they delivered another masterpiece in accidental comedy.
The FBI finally arrests Brian Cole Jr., a 30-year-old suspect accused of planting two real, viable pipe bombs outside the RNC and DNC on January 5, 2021.
Serious stuff. Federal charges. Years of investigation. And CNN steps up to the mic like:
“He’s a 30-year-old WHITE man…”
Then without taking a breath they flash his photo on screen and…
SURPRISE! It’s a Black guy.
At that moment, every viewer in America collectively turned into that meme:
“Uhhh… you sure about that, champ?”
Jake Tapper had to come back the next day with the most awkward correction in TV history:
“Obviously, as the photo showed, he’s Black.”
Yeah, Jake the rest of us figured that out without needing a commercial break.
This is the same network that once stood in front of a burning building announcing
“mostly peaceful protests,”
like the reporter was hosting a barbecue and forgot to mention the neighborhood was on fire.
At some point, these “mistakes” aren’t mistakes. They’re a tradition.
Like Thanksgiving, but instead of turkey, it’s credibility that gets carved up.
CNN keeps telling us to trust them…
Meanwhile, their reporting accuracy has the same success rate as guessing people’s age at the DMV.
So let’s just ask the question out loud:
Should anyone still trust a media outlet that can’t even identify the suspect they’re literally showing on the screen? And do you REALLY believe CNN is the only network out here mass producing narratives like it’s a factory job?
Be honest the news isn’t broken.
It’s performed.
