⚖️ When Telling the Truth Becomes a Death Sentence

💀 Another Episode of “Let’s Protect the Poor, Misunderstood Cartels” 💀
Because apparently, the bad guys are the ones complaining about crime now.
Meet Carlos Manzo, the mayor of Uruapan, Mexico a man who actually had the nerve to say out loud what everyone else was thinking:
“Hey… maybe we should do something about the cartels?”
Crazy idea, right?
Manzo had publicly and repeatedly called for stronger security measures, criticized corruption at the local level, and begged the federal government to step up and help confront organized crime.
He even dared to say that President Claudia Sheinbaum’s “strategy” (if you can call it that) was a complete failure.
He warned that cartels were bleeding farmers dry by extorting avocado and lime producers the backbone of his region’s economy.
He even said he’d fight back himself if the government wouldn’t.
In September, he went on the radio and said:
“I don’t want to be just another mayor on the list of those executed. I’m afraid but I’ll face it with courage.”
Fast forward to the Day of the Dead, and tragically, he became exactly what he feared:
Shot seven times during a public ceremony right in front of his family.
He’s now the 7th mayor killed in Michoacán since 2022.
But here’s what our media skips right over Manzo agreed with Trump’s stance on taking the cartels seriously.
He said it out loud. He believed the U.S. approach made more sense than his own government’s “let’s hug it out” policy.
So naturally… he became very inconvenient for both the cartels and the politicians.
Meanwhile, our press acts like it’s just “another tragic incident.”
No mention of his warnings. No talk about his courage. And definitely no mention that he challenged the narrative.
But if you dig past the headlines or better yet, listen in Spanish you’ll hear the truth loud and clear.
The people speaking up are the ones being silenced.
