From “Wen Memes on Hive” to I’m glad to tell you that “Memes are coming to Hive”. Here’s a little back story for you to catch up to.

It’s no news that Memes have become a major niche in blockchain technology and extremely popular on chains like BSC, Solana, Base etc.

However, when it comes to Hive, our dear blockchain is missing on this action but that’s about to change for good.

About a week ago, Hives Splinterlands community successfully soft launched a meme on Binance smart chain, Push n Shove $PNS, and so far it’s been so good.

Early hours of the morning of writing this post, I saw another announcement of a Becket Meme 🐝 token launch plan, but this is rather a Hive native meme token to be developed by the same giga brain behind the SPI token and its derivatives that exist on Hive engine.

For someone who’s been excited about memes and has been lurking around trading Solana meme tokens for a while, I’m super elated to discover that Memes are coming to Hive.

with such a giant community and platform equipped for seamless trading, I’m confident that meme trading will thrive here on Hive just like in other ecosystems.

Infrastructures to put in place

However, before we can achieve a thriving Meme ecosystem on Hive, we need to have few things in place,….firstly, Hive needs the right Infrastructure for building memes, anyone should be able to launch a meme with few clicks and not just super giga brained devs, I think this is where Hive Engine can play a critical role,

There’ll be a lot of room to experiment, there will be random pumps perhaps funded by DHF, there will be so much dynamics, while some Memes will hold tangible utilities, others will do nothing and may still pop off, the success of few will be replicated 100 times over.
