Yes. The saying lost the other half. It is even in the Bible. Attended an event where someone brought up and talked about this.

"Money is the root of all evil" may not fully make sense.

How about "Other people's money is the root of all evil"?

Evil of money in going after other people's money as such actions of such may be seen as evil.

Money itself just is, as in energy, that may be used for good, or evil. Having money as opposed to not gives you MOAR. Maybe MOAR power and choices, in the ability to get things with your money for what you gave to get money. !BBH !ZOMBIE
