I want to talk about something that's been on my mind lately as why sometimes we fail to retail some of our customers we try to sell our products too, the fact that complex ideas don't sell is as a result of timing factor. Now before you think I'm crazy, hear me out, As a content creator, I've learned that the most successful ideas are often the simplest ones let's Think about it this way, when was the last time you shared a super nuanced, deeply researched article on social media? That has a lots of engagement, Probably not recently, right?

We live in a world where attention spans are shorter than ever, and our brains are wired to crave simplicity and clarity especially with the recent economic down turn and political uncertainty surrounding the world right now with inflation at an unseen level hence only few people tends to put in effort in understanding the in depth concepts of the complexity of a product or concept. So when we try to sell complex ideas, we often end up losing our audience in a sea of jargon and technical details as they just want to know how it simply works and how they can benefit from it putting little or no efforts. I'm not saying that complex ideas aren't valuable or important they totally are especially when one wants to replicate the ideal or invest heavily on it, But if you want to sell something to a wider audience, you need to find a way to simplify it without dumbing them down that's why most minnows on hive tends to flee few weeks after creating an account.

The key is to focus on the core message and strip away the unnecessary complexity that make the product unique and essential focus on how they can leverage it to work for them in a simpler matter without then spending so much time learning as they will find thier feet in time when they start reaping the reward of using the product hence they would want to do thier own research indepth to understand more about it, .think of it like a layer cake you want to leave the frosting on top (the simple, catchy idea), but you can skip the dense, dry cake underneath (the complex details) .

So, if you're trying to sell a complex idea, focus on making it accessible, relatable, and dare I say it sexy 😉.
