I usually read through different communities, but only tend to post to a handful which I'm comfortable with. Whenever I do choose to write somewhere new, the anxiety really hits.
Anyone else recognize this?

Sometimes that's not wrong to do. For example, I enjoy watching soccer matches, but I would never enjoy playing the game regularly.

This is true, I think. Much like it is in our nature to find "in-groups" and "out-groups" wherever we go. We're designed to quickly and efficiently identify our "tribe"... It's an evolutionary matter of safety and security, I think.
