Warner Music Group Partnership Announcement!

On Feb/23/2022 the Splinterlands announced some exciting news and that news was its partnership with the Warner Music Group. The first-of-its-kind deal will see the companies collaborate to give select WMG artists opportunities to create and develop unique, play-to-earn, arcade-style blockchain games in a mutually beneficial partnership for music fans and splinterlands players alike.

(SPS) Node Overview & License Presale

• Announced On 04/14/2022

As mentioned in the SPS Whitepaper, there are 3,750,000 SPS tokens per month allocated to a reward pool for SPS Validator Node operators. 10%, or 375,000, of the monthly total will be allocated as block validation rewards for the accounts that receive staked SPS votes and are assigned specific blocks to validate, and the remaining 3,375,000 SPS / month will be split equally between all of the license holders that are actively running the node software.

Brawl Economy Update

• Announced On 04/28/2022

Three Changes were made

(1) New Arena Rewards Multiplier
(2) Reduce Top 3 Bonus Crown Amount
(3) Increase Crown cost of high level Guild Buildings

Changes have the following goals: Decrease the disparity in Brawl prizes between top performing guilds and lower performing guilds. Better incentivize guilds to move up to higher Brawl Tiers.

Splintershards (SPS) Token Updates

• Announced On 05/01/2022

The 10th and final SPS private sale investor distribution was sent out yesterday, which means that going forward there will be 20M less SPS minted per month bringing the total monthly SPS mint amount down from 71,145,833 to 51,145,833.

Splinterlands Ranked Rewards Update

• Announced On 05/14/2022

The code for these changes is scheduled to be released during the week of May 22nd, however the new reward system including the new season and daily focus rewards, new loot chests, new reward cards, etc. will go into effect automatically at the beginning of the new ranked play season starting on Tuesday, May 31st.

Please note that the change so that starter cards used in battles will reduce the amount of reward shares earned will go into effect when the code is released, which means that starter cards will reduce the amount of DEC earned from ranked battle wins beginning at that point.

All of the other changes will automatically take effect when the new ranked play season begins on the 31st. If players have an outstanding daily quest when the new ranked rewards begin, they will need to complete the quest, or request a new quest, in order to begin their first daily focus.

Validator Node License Rewards

• Announced On 06/03/2022

You may recall from the original validator node overview post (https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/splintershards-sps-validator-node-overview-and-license-presale) that a total of 20,000 VOUCHER tokens will be distributed equally among all license holders every day. At the time of writing, approximately 2400 licenses have been purchased, which means that each license holder will begin receiving 8.33 VOUCHER tokens per license every day. Please note that as more licenses are sold, the daily, per-license amount will be reduced proportionally.

Nearly Six Million USD (Six Million USD), Let me say that again SIX MILLION USD has been won by Splinterland players across the globe who have participated in Splinterland Tournaments.
