The RUS-79U Mystical Lamp in Call of Duty Mobile is directly based on the AK-74u Mystical Lamp (an Ultra Mastercraft blueprint) from Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. It was later adapted for the RUS-79U because the RUS-79U is COD Mobile's version of the AK-74u.
The original AK-74u Mystical Lamp featured:
A magical genie/lamp theme.
Purple and gold tracer rounds.
Gold dismemberment effects.
Unique inspect animations.
It was released in Black Ops Cold War Season 5 as part of the Golden Lamp Mastercraft Bundle.
The Legendary RUS-79U Mystical Lamp is one of the cleanest and most satisfying SMGs I have ever used in Call of Duty Mobile. The first thing that grabs my attention is its magical genie inspired design, glowing gold details, and premium inspection animation that make every match feel special. It isn't just a weapon it feels like a trophy every time I equip it. The custom iron sights are clear, making it easier to stay on target during close range fights, while the legendary kill effect adds a satisfying finish to every elimination.
As a player, the RUS-79U has always been reliable because of its balanced recoil, smooth mobility, and fast fire rate. With the Mystical Lamp blueprint, I feel even more confident pushing objectives, rushing enemies, and winning intense gunfights. Whether I'm playing Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, or Ranked Multiplayer, this weapon never disappoints. The combination of great performance and stunning visuals makes every match more enjoyable. Even after using many other legendary weapons, I still find myself returning to the RUS-79U Mystical Lamp because it feels unique. In my opinion, it's a legendary blueprint that every CODM player should experience at least once.
The crazy thing about this gun is almost everything, the bullets firing sound is so thin and satisfying, the inspection is nice like I'm about to make 3 wishes, the kill effect feels like setting a Genie 🧞♂️ free from his kettle and the laughter from the Genie while being set free is a master piece, I'm about to go to sleep now, tomorrow is church, Stay frosty soldiers🔫 👋.

Is this weapon the meta right now? I remember my Warzone days when you always had to keep an eye on which weapon was meta. But I don't remember if the Rus was ever meta.
Nope it not, but it's very good at Multiplayer in codm and everyone started noticing how good the gun is when this weapon skin was given for free
