RE: LOLZ's Daily Earn and Burn Contest - You Win When We Burn - 3/1/2024

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

In addition, I think that the votes on the post (or long comment) itself requested for curation matters more than the recent or pending rewards on the Hive account itself. 🤔🤓

One of the recommendations for a higher chance of a post (or long comment) getting curated is that it should be published using the #Ecency frontend. 🤓

That means you should publish using the #Ecency frontend the post (or long comment) that you want to request curation for on the Ecency's curation channel on #Discord, and use your (more) favorite Hive frontend (which is #PeakD according to your comment) for the rest of your posts. 🤓

I should give it a try for some posts, to get used to it. I've used PeakD for publishing posts because it's been the most reliable for me so far. See, with the old way I could boost all my posts, not just select ones posted only through the Ecency frontend. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

About 3 years ago when #Ecency still used to publish a comment about rejected Boosting Requests (such as here), the comment says that one of the possible reasons why the request was rejected was because the post (or comment) was not published using the Ecency frontend. 🤓

Well I do know that it's kind of a free for all wild west with the curators, with each one following their own principles, and voting or not, as they see fit. I was never crazy about that. I love Enency, but there are several things about the frontend, and how it's operated, that annoy and frustrate me. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

What I wanted to say was that 2 to 3 years ago, the #Ecency curation team wanted to curate only posts (and long comments) that were published using the Ecency frontend. 🤓 Even though having used the Ecency frontend to publish content is no longer strictly required, the curators would still prefer to curate content published through the Ecency frontend (before and after the Points Boosting feature was removed). 😏

Anyway, your !BEER command worked even if your comment also contains another bot command (which is !LOLZ). 😅

Ah, OK. I'm glad that it's not strickly required. I having published 1-3 posts every single day since February 1, 2022, I need a frontend to have all the features that I need, and be very stable and reliable.

That's good to hear. Most tipping bots are quite hit or miss at the moment, some being a bit more reliable than other.

It would be quite hard to see a Hive frontend that has all the features that you need. 🤯 Even if there is one, you might also find that frontend to have many features that you won't use. 🤔🤓

Anyway, the BEER bot seems to have improved its ability to detect other bot commands on every comment with the BEER tipping command since several months ago, so your BEER tipping attempt would no longer be successful because of the !LOLZ. 😅

Yes, very true. That's why I use different frontends for different things. PeakD and Ecency are my two main ones, but there are also a good array of others that I use for certain important tasks. I think UIs should be customizable to the max.

Ah yes, I usually remember lately to put the !BEER command first and then the !LOLZ or other command after it. Picky bot! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

If there are two Hive frontends that are "customizable to the max", you might have a lot of difficulty which one to choose as your primary one. 😅

It is still best to use only the BEER tipping command on any comment if you want to tip that token, rather than trying to use on the same comment another bot command which would (very likely) cause the BEER tipping command to fail. 🤓

!LOLZ

Perhaps, but I have a particular way that I like to flow, so that UI that gets closest to that wins, though knowing me I'd still use the other one for things that my main one does less well.

I've found the BEER tipping bot to be very unpredictable, and frankly unreliable, regardless of whether I use it alone or with other commands after it. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Maybe the first of two (or more) highly customizable Hive frontends that impresses you would become your primary frontend for Hive blogging, and the other would be a backup in case your chosen frontend encounters some issues. 🤔😎

The more !BEER tokens I can tip per day, the more likely I would find issues with the BEER bot. 🤓😅

Yes, that's likely true. In my time on Hive, and almost 6 years living in the jungle, I've learned the incredible importance and usefulness of having multiple backups, and different ways of doing things.

I'm finally up to 10 calls per day (though it might be more, as I don't see anywhere that it shows how many total calls I have, or how many I have left). I don't think I've ever been able to actually use all 10 calls, though, as it only seems to work a few times per night. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I think that the word "alternatives" is more accurate than "backups" regarding the ways of doing what you would do. 🧘‍♂️🤓

Voting a post or comment after its reward payout adds another vote on the list of voters, which is an alternative to commenting or tipping to show support to the content and its author. 🤓 I just can't explain why voting past payout time would still require the voter to choose a vote percentage more than 0% and not more than 100%. 🤯😅

I wonder if the WINE:WINEX liquidity pair is still generating a decent amount of trades to make it worth it to put your WINEX tokens there instead of using them for tipping. 🤔🤓

The WINE:WINEX pool is among my favorites, as it rewards a dizzying number of tokens, which I put to use, either by adding them to other pools, or staking/and or holding if they are income tokens. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I suggest that you stake enough WINEX tokens to tip it at least once a day (which requires only at least 25 WINEX). 🤔

Tipping WINEX also gives you an equal amount of WINEX in return, which gives 146% APR return (whose information is also available on the WINEX official post), which is possibly more than what you get from maintaining liquidity on the WINE:WINEX token pair. 🤓

Anyway, !HUG bot hasn't worked since 6 days ago, much like the !PGM bot which hasn't worked since 30 days ago. 😅

Hrmmm...I appreciate this information, thank you. You make a strong case for staking and tipping, as opposed to just keeping it in the diesel/liquidity pool. I always have a lot more WINE than WINEX since I received it from the pool, which is not the case with WINEX, that I only recieve through tips or buying it. I'll keep this in mind and see what I can do.

Yep, I know. I keep a pretty close eye on the tipping tokens, so when they stop working, I notice. No idea what's up with HUG, but I know that the PGM project is being sold. Thanks a lot again! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Maybe I should encourage @savvyplayer to further add details on the post about Hive tipping tokens (without making it harder to read), and probably publish separate posts for each tipping token. 🤔

That might be helpful, as I still notice a few minor inaccuracies with some tokens. Nothing big, but perhaps some important details.

Oh wow, I didn't know that that was the reason for the HUG price crash. 300 was a bit much, but it might be useful to allow more than 3 calls per day, as I have over 400 HUG, so only being able to tip three times per day is a tad silly. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

!PIZZA

avatar

Even though it may have been 1 tip for every thousand BBH held, this is no longer the case. There are 4 levels of tipping, with no intermediates.

From Bradley's most recent post with the info:
Level 1 = 1000 BBH holdings = 1 tip per day you can send
Level 2 = 5000 BBH holdings = 5 tip per day you can send
Level 3 = 20000 BBH holdings = 20 tip per day you can send
Level 4 = 50000 BBH holdings = 50 tip per day you can send

As an example, I have 7,067 BBH, yet I can only tip 5 times per day. Regarding other minor inaccuracies, for LOLZ it says that there can only be one other tipping command used with it, and that's not true, as I tip it in a batch with 3 others all the time and it works fine. It says this for LUV too, but I often use a quad of ALIVE, LOLZ, LUV, and VSC, and they usually all work. I've also used BEER with other tip commands too, and while it is not the most dependable token for such purposes, it does often work too. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I've slowly learned to balance the usual number of tips that I need to give with my available tokens each day, but even I start to run very low sometimes. If you want to be able to tip ALIVE just from token tips to you, it will take other Hive users 10,000 tips of 0.1 ALIVE each for you to start tipping 0.1 ALIVE 10 times a day. 😅

The tip has been paid for by the We Are Alive Tribe through the earnings on @alive.chat, feel free to swing by our daily chat any time you want, plus you can win Hive Power (2x 50 HP) and Alive Power (2x 500 AP) delegations (4 weeks), and Ecency Points (4x 50 EP), in our chat every day.

My previous comment here has two different topics, so I have decided to reply with a separate comment per topic. 🤓

The HUG bot has been the same since it was introduced on May 18, 2023 (which is already almost a year ago), where having no HUG tokens allows you to tip 1 !HUG once a day, having 1 to 9 tokens allows you to tip twice a day, and having at least 10 tokens allows you to tip thrice a day. 😏

@savvytester, sorry!

You are out of hugs for today.

You can call the HUG bot a maximum of 3 per day.

The current call limits are:

Haha...OK, sounds good! Yep, I've noticed that about our friend, @hugbot. It just stays the same! I have over 400, which given that I can only top 3 times per day, is a bit of overkill.

!BEER

With more than 400 HUG tokens, you can distribute to more than 40 Hive users 10 HUG each, which will allow them to tip 1 HUG 3 times a day. 😏

Anyway, your BEER tipping command didn't work. 😅

Yep, indeed, and I've been thinking about something like that. It's crossed my mind for !LUV too, as I have over 1,000 of them, and I only need 750.

It does not surprise me. The BEER bot is a finicky little bugger! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

!PIZZA

You can always find another Hive user who !loves to tip tokens but needs more LUV. 😏

If the BEER bot didn't work for me on a given day, I almost always don't try it again on the same day. 😅

That's what I'll likely do, distribute them around a bit.

Ditto that. If I notice after the first try two that it isn't working, I just wait until another day. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Alternatively, you can simply browse the !LUV comments feed for (successful) LUV tippers that still can't tip 10 times a day (because they don't have at least 750 LUV yet) to get a better idea of whom to send your extra LUV tokens. 🤓

OK, that could work too. I originally thought about selling off any over 750, but the value dropped so much that it's not even worth it presently...lol. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

The minor downside of spreading out your LUV tokens to other Hive users for free is that its price inflation will increase, which would likely cause the price of the token to drop further, though !LUV users would be more happy that they received LUV token gifts from somebody else and they can tip more LUV per day. 🤔🤓

I didn't consider that...hrmm... Happy people are a good thing, though. I'll think upon it further. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

crrdlx said that anyone, not just the creator of the token, can make (or add) a use case for any token, which means that anyone can make the !LUV and HBIT tokens increase in value by adding at least one case for each of them. 🤓

I always make sure to publish my posts by 2PM my time, which is when UTC changes from one day to the next, and I use the command right afterward. In any case, I've used it every day around the same time, and it's been working fine. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I might see you on the Top 50 of the HBIT richlist soon! 😎 Unless you are gifted HBIT tokens or buy them on the #HiveEngine market, it will take you more than 7 months just to see yourself at least on the Top 50. 😅

A suggested way to show support to the HBIT (and by extension, the !LUV) project is to buy enough of its tokens to be at least on the 25th of its richlist. 🤓

When Hive users see a token being used by more people, they would be (slightly) more encouraged to develop use cases for it. 😅

0

Well, while I do very much appreciate the LUV/HBIT project, that wouldn't be feasible until I had lots of spare SWAP.HIVE. Given the trading fund that I'm building on Hive Engine, that may actually come somewhat soon.

Yep, I definirely get that, and it does seem to be the case, for use case. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Your 27 HBIT tokens right now put you at the 290th on the HBIT richlist. 🤔

I would have recommended that you buy small amounts of HBIT every day to gradually reach at least the 25th Rank, but I noticed on the #HiveEngine market that the lowest sell offer for 10 HBIT is already worth at least 1.200 SWAP.HIVE. 🤯😅

Oh wow, I had no idea! While I do appreciate the suggestion, I can't conceivably see myself allocating resources yet to tokens that aren't income tokens. I'll keep mining and saving them, though. That's also interesting, and rather surprising, that they have such a high value compared to Hive! Cool! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I was just referring to the lowest sell offer of the HBIT token which was so high at about 1.2 SWAP.HIVE per 10 HBIT, not the highest buy offer at that moment. 😅

Meanwhile, the highest buy offer for the token was so low that time, that you will get only about the same 1.2 SWAP.HIVE for selling a whopping 1,400 HBIT. 🤯😅

Your 29 HBIT tokens put you at the 276th position on the HBIT richlist, which is 14 positions higher than 2 days ago. 🤔

You need more than 424 HBIT tokens right now to be at the 25th place on the richlist, which costs more than 48 SWAP.HIVE right now. 🤯😅
