RE: Our New Birdie! Meet Skyler.

It's more appropriate for a Hive Witness node operator to host their node at a machine that they fully control for the node to be considered decentralized. πŸ€”πŸ€― There are some hosting providers which provide Hive Witness node hosting (such as #Privex) at discounted prices, though while better (or more accurately, less worse) than mainstream giant hosting providers, they are arguably not decentralized enough because multiple people on Hive (with at least some dev knowledge) host their Witness nodes there. πŸ€―πŸ€“

That's part of why I won't run a witness or Hive-Engine node unless I owned and controlled the hardware. 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™

I got confused again with the witness if Hive-Engine node on your comment there. πŸ€”πŸ€―

Anyway, I wonder if you or @borniet would ever host a Hive (and/or #HiveEngine) Witness node. πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈπŸ˜…

Corrected.

Bjorn already runs both a Hive-Engine and a witness node. 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™

I have set @savvyplayer as voting proxy, which means that my Hive account automatically "copies" their Hive Witness and Hive Proposal votes. 😎 While I saw them vote for @botlord as Hive Witness some time ago, they might have forgotten to vote for the @botlord #HiveEngine Witness node too. πŸ€”πŸ€― !HOPE that this comment tagging them is enough to remind them to vote for the HE Witness too! πŸ€—πŸ˜

I noticed that @savvyplayer has already voted for @botlord as #HiveEngine Witness too, but both of us don't have any WORKERBEE for our votes to be of any weight. πŸ€”πŸ€― It's like curating with exactly zero total Hive Power !INDEED! πŸ€―πŸ˜…

Oh good, and I feel ya, I don't have usable quantities of WORKERBEE yet either. 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™

I (and @savvyplayer) just got reminded by borniet that having more WORKERBEE tokens will increase the power of our votes !INDEED! πŸ€”πŸ€―πŸ€“πŸ˜…

If someone on Hive got used to getting more Hive Power (which is staked HIVE tokens which is the primary token of the Hive blockchain) to increase the worth of their votes for Hive Witnesses (and Hive Proposals), they might get confused about which #HiveEngine token is necessary for having a larger influence for Hive Engine Witnesses (which presumably is staked BEE tokens which is the primary token of the Hive Engine second-layer blockchain) !INDEED. πŸ€”πŸ€―πŸ˜…

The WORKERBEE requirement for voting on Hive-Engine witnesses is an odd one, and it doesn't really make much sense, but that's how it is, so we just adapt and flow with it. 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™

I have set @savvyplayer as my proxy for voting for Hive Witness nodes and Hive Funding Proposals, and they have voted for your witness node as well as for your #HiveEngine node. 😎😏

While @savvyplayer (which is my voting proxy) has voted for the @botlord #HiveEngine Witness node (as well as the primary layer Hive Witness node), both of us have zero WORKERBEE tokens (either liquid or staked), so we only add to the number of votes without increasing your node's ranking on the Hive Engine second-layer network. πŸ€”πŸ€―πŸ˜…

No worries ;-) I already appreciate the support ;-)
And if you or @savvyplayer do get to hold some WORKERBEE (hint! hint!) the vote will have some extra ranking power as well!
I'll just wait here and have a !BEER in the meantime ;-)

I just said on my previous comment that I and @savvyplayer don't have any WORKERBEE tokens at all, so our votes don't increase your #HiveEngine Witness node's ranking. πŸ€”πŸ€― It's also !WEIRD to find out that neither my nor @savvyplayer's Hive Engine wallets ever got "touched" by the WORKERBEE token (in other words, no incoming or outgoing WORKERBEE token transactions at all). πŸ€―πŸ˜†πŸ˜…

I know what you said, I read it correctly, and I replied that I appreciate the support, and that "If you or @savvyplayer do get to hold some WORKERBEE", the ranking would improve.
I was expressing a possible future ;-)
It is indeed very well possible that you don't own any WORKERBEE, and it has never touched your wallet. AFAIK, you can only buy them, or receive them. Are they useful? Yes, for mining BEE, and for giving Hive-Engine witness votes ;-)
Owning BEE does come with its own uses btw, if you delegate it to @bee.voter it earns you weekly Hive.

Thanks for clarifying that you were just expressing a possible future that you !HOPE !INDEED! πŸ€—πŸ€“ My #SavvyCorrect sometimes gets too literal when understanding text. πŸ€―πŸ˜†

Anyway, I checked the #BeeVoter Hive account and noticed that its last post was more than a year ago, and its comments are automated where it shows that it curates daily only a single Hive account. πŸ€―πŸ˜…
