RE: LOLZ's Daily Earn and Burn Contest - You Win When We Burn - 3/1/2024

I just noticed that the #Ecency frontend no longer allows voting on posts and comments which are already more than 7 days old. π€π€― A few days ago, it allowed voting on such content, with a notice that the rewards for such content would no longer increase !INDEED. π€―π€― #PeakD still allows such action, whose notice is Rewards have already been paid out for this post. However, you may still add your name to the list of voters.. π€π

That's really odd, especially since that was a specific change during one of the Hard Forks, to allow votes to be counted, regardless of whether they were under the payout threshold, or if the post or comment was past 7 days. πππβ¨π€

I don't know why such changes get implemented, and fixes for an increasing number of bugs (such as notifications requiring refresh to show up, emoji picker automatically closing after selecting a single emoji, the "exclude reblogs" on Followed feed not taking effect, among others) not getting applied !INDEED. π€π€―π€―

You're guess is as good as mine. I would infinitely prefer that the bloody bugs got fixed than having new features added. πππβ¨π€

!HOPE that at least the #Ecency (dev) team collects and responds to bug reports and feature suggestions right here on the Hive blockchain, not on (centralized) third-party platforms !INDEED! π€π§ββοΈπ

That'd be great, and I'm sure that it happens sometimes at least. πππβ¨π€

I saw that the #Ecency (core) team has reduced their Hive Proposal funding request from 396 HBD per day to 300 HBD (approximately a 24% decrease) according to their post. π€π€ !HOPE that even with reduced funding, the Ecency team has at least one member whose task is to reply to as many (meaningful) comments on the official Ecency account as possible !INDEED! π€π

Yes, both Ecency and PeakD announced that they were reducing the amounts requested in their proposals. I think that would be useful, so indeed. πππβ¨π€

I think that while reducing the daily amount on Hive Proposal funding requests on projects is generally a good idea, it would be better if a Hive project owner just declares (on a "normal" official post) that they would be burning a good portion (such as half) every time they get HBD (which is once per hour if the support is above the funding threshold), where there will also be no need for a separate proposal. π€π§ββοΈπ€π€

Yep, until there's a lot more demand for both HIVE and HBD, let 'em burn! π π π β¨ π€

They can also convert the extra HBD to HIVE, then burn the resulting HIVE (after waiting for 3.5 days) to help control the HIVE token inflation. π€π§ββοΈπ₯ππ€
Well, since it would be equivalent amounts, using HBD to buy HIVE, and then burning the HIVE, would not deal with the orginal HBD. It's far better to convert the HBD to HIVE, thus destroying the HBD, and then burning the HIVE on top of that. πππβ¨π€

I forgot about that. π€π€― The HBD from the buyer will just go to the seller !INDEED. π€―π€―
I just edited my previous comment to make it more accurate (or less inaccurate). π€π

I figured, and you got it.
I see that, the only thing about that is that it now makes my reply a tad redundant. πππβ¨π€
