RE: LOLZ's Daily Earn and Burn Contest - You Win When We Burn - 3/1/2024

Hrmmm...OK. I know that the amount of the vote also depends on your activity using Ecency, which was interesting to hear. Very curious indeed. 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™

One of the recommendations for a higher chance of a post (or long comment) getting curated is that it should be published using the #Ecency frontend. πŸ€“

@savvytester! You Are Alive so I just staked 0.1 $ALIVE to your account on behalf of @ tydynrain. (8/10)

The tip has been paid for by the We Are Alive Tribe through the earnings on @alive.chat, feel free to swing by our daily chat any time you want, plus you can win Hive Power (2x 50 HP) and Alive Power (2x 500 AP) delegations (4 weeks), and Ecency Points (4x 50 EP), in our chat every day.

That means you should publish using the #Ecency frontend the post (or long comment) that you want to request curation for on the Ecency's curation channel on #Discord, and use your (more) favorite Hive frontend (which is #PeakD according to your comment) for the rest of your posts. πŸ€“

I should give it a try for some posts, to get used to it. I've used PeakD for publishing posts because it's been the most reliable for me so far. See, with the old way I could boost all my posts, not just select ones posted only through the Ecency frontend. 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™

About 3 years ago when #Ecency still used to publish a comment about rejected Boosting Requests (such as here), the comment says that one of the possible reasons why the request was rejected was because the post (or comment) was not published using the Ecency frontend. πŸ€“

Well I do know that it's kind of a free for all wild west with the curators, with each one following their own principles, and voting or not, as they see fit. I was never crazy about that. I love Enency, but there are several things about the frontend, and how it's operated, that annoy and frustrate me. 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™

What I wanted to say was that 2 to 3 years ago, the #Ecency curation team wanted to curate only posts (and long comments) that were published using the Ecency frontend. πŸ€“ Even though having used the Ecency frontend to publish content is no longer strictly required, the curators would still prefer to curate content published through the Ecency frontend (before and after the Points Boosting feature was removed). 😏

Anyway, your !BEER command worked even if your comment also contains another bot command (which is !LOLZ). πŸ˜…

Ah, OK. I'm glad that it's not strickly required. I having published 1-3 posts every single day since February 1, 2022, I need a frontend to have all the features that I need, and be very stable and reliable.

That's good to hear. Most tipping bots are quite hit or miss at the moment, some being a bit more reliable than other.

It would be quite hard to see a Hive frontend that has all the features that you need. 🀯 Even if there is one, you might also find that frontend to have many features that you won't use. πŸ€”πŸ€“

Anyway, the BEER bot seems to have improved its ability to detect other bot commands on every comment with the BEER tipping command since several months ago, so your BEER tipping attempt would no longer be successful because of the !LOLZ. πŸ˜…

Yes, very true. That's why I use different frontends for different things. PeakD and Ecency are my two main ones, but there are also a good array of others that I use for certain important tasks. I think UIs should be customizable to the max.

Ah yes, I usually remember lately to put the !BEER command first and then the !LOLZ or other command after it. Picky bot! 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™

If there are two Hive frontends that are "customizable to the max", you might have a lot of difficulty which one to choose as your primary one. πŸ˜…

It is still best to use only the BEER tipping command on any comment if you want to tip that token, rather than trying to use on the same comment another bot command which would (very likely) cause the BEER tipping command to fail. πŸ€“

!LOLZ

Perhaps, but I have a particular way that I like to flow, so that UI that gets closest to that wins, though knowing me I'd still use the other one for things that my main one does less well.

I've found the BEER tipping bot to be very unpredictable, and frankly unreliable, regardless of whether I use it alone or with other commands after it. 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™

Maybe the first of two (or more) highly customizable Hive frontends that impresses you would become your primary frontend for Hive blogging, and the other would be a backup in case your chosen frontend encounters some issues. πŸ€”πŸ˜Ž

The more !BEER tokens I can tip per day, the more likely I would find issues with the BEER bot. πŸ€“πŸ˜…

Yes, that's likely true. In my time on Hive, and almost 6 years living in the jungle, I've learned the incredible importance and usefulness of having multiple backups, and different ways of doing things.

I'm finally up to 10 calls per day (though it might be more, as I don't see anywhere that it shows how many total calls I have, or how many I have left). I don't think I've ever been able to actually use all 10 calls, though, as it only seems to work a few times per night. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

I think that the word "alternatives" is more accurate than "backups" regarding the ways of doing what you would do. πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈπŸ€“

Anyway, the BEER bot showing how many tips a BEER holder has already made for the day and how many tips are still available would be a great feature to add. 😏

It's okay if you don't tip me Hive tokens (such as when you either ran out of tips, for the day, reserving them for someone else, or simply forgot to do so), because kind comments are more important (at least for me). πŸ€—

Votes for posts and comments that are already past payout time will still get saved on the blockchain, but they won't be worth anything and won't reduce your Voting Power. πŸ€“πŸ˜

Voting a post or comment after its reward payout adds another vote on the list of voters, which is an alternative to commenting or tipping to show support to the content and its author. πŸ€“ I just can't explain why voting past payout time would still require the voter to choose a vote percentage more than 0% and not more than 100%. πŸ€―πŸ˜…
